Topic: That'll be the day (Buddy Holley)

Learning to play this song.  I'm playing it in the key of "D" and I've got the fingering ok for the intro to the song, but can anyone give me the fingering for the "solo" in the middle of the song.  I've tried to get it down by listening but I can't seem to get it.  Thanks:  Ken

Re: That'll be the day (Buddy Holley)

I have been playing this song since it was released the song is recorded in A some people use a capo on the 5th and play open leads(I dont) there are several options I cant say that D is the best choice but try and learn it in A and transpose to D heres a link that offers several guitar players with a vararity of choices on how to play this song.

Hi russell and buzzwagon, those were both good links,I think I will try it out myself as I have never used a capo on that song.
