Topic: Worst christmas songs 2012

It`s that time of year again. Christmas time. Time for christmas music new and old. Peace on earth and good will to men and some of the most irritating christmas music imaginable. What is this years most irritating christmas song. It could be new or an old classic. I have to hear it all day in my work. The one that really gets on my nerves is "LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW" by The Fab Four.  Not THEE fab four (The Beatles) but the fab four. A beatles cover band that put out a xmas album with beatles songs done with xmas song lyrics. I don`t know how to describe it and I don`t know how to put up the link for youtube. Check it out and I guarantee you wont be disappointed. It`s awful. Then post yours.

Any song that would not get air play but for the word "Christmas" in it annoys me.

I gotta confess.  I'm a grinch.  I hate the Christmas hollidays, the music in particular.

But I will confess I have finally been introduced to a Christmas song that I like.

My wife hates this Robert Earl Keene classic that exudes how twisted, commercial and shallow the holiday has become.......  But I still play it every year.

And DE - The Robert Earl Keen song is a family tradition at my place and I've played it the last few Sundays.

Back to the original topic though, I'll add any Christmas song sung by Bruce Springsteen is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me! Hate isn't strong enough a word.

I'll agree.  His version of "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" just flat out sucks.  But then again, I never liked that song anyway.

Paul McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" makes me want to vomit. Worst song ever...

I'm not religious, but I like the old carols, my favourite (hardly ever heard anymore) is: "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day". Powerful lyrics.

Any of the "originals" by TSO.  They just bore the hell out of me.

I do like the versions of the standards that they do. (their version of Carrol of the bells simply kicks butt)

I used to be the assistant manager of a discount store here in Iowa.  Endless loop of the same songs over the store speakers.  I could tune them all out except for an especially annoying version of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."  I left that position, and retail, over 25 years ago but I still loathe that song.
