I'm looking at getting a hollow body guitar.  I played a Ibanez at Guitar center - it sounded great - but then online it said it never stays in tune.   Epiphone played nice as well.  Does anybody have any suggestions.  Looking in $ 600 range

Dean's,, take your pick  http://www.musiciansfriend.com/dean-aco … s?N=500001

I really like Dean, I have played some and they are super nice! You really cant go wrong with an Xavier either.  They are supurb and the cases are very good also .  If I had to nit pick,  all it needs it fret edges filed a bit more. But out of the box set up was great.  As with any guitar change strings out of the box, and go ahead and spring for a set up to your specs and likeing, I have tehm dress frets  while they are there also.

just my 2 cents.

good luck and enjoy the shopping

Mouthwatering, I am pretty confident it looks even better in the flesh (eeer wood)  (  would also upgrade to groover tuners)

Re: .

Those all look like great choices! I tried a few out last year (also looking in your price range) and a couple stood out:

The Loar really sounded nice (deep, rich tone), and I also liked that it has little wider nut (1 3/4") which accomodates my big hands better than the usual 1 5/8" or 1 11/16" on most guitars.

Re: .

My music teacher has this one in his shop. He pulled it off the wall after my lesson the other day. I plays beautifully.

The picture does not do it justice. There's an iridescence in the white that can't be captured with the camera.

TIGLJK, I so happen to have a Ibenez Artcore Hollowbody w/ a Peavy 158 amp that I would be willing to sell. It spends more time in the closet than being played. I'm more into the acoustic guitars and since I got the 12 string I just can't put it down. Only reason I'm thinking of selling is to get my grandson a 3/4 size acoustic along the lines of a GS Mini. If you wanna talk we can do so privately and I can send you some photo's to look at.

Yesirree ... that thing is dressed to kill. Looks like something a person should wear a white tux to perform in, at some high-end place in Vegas.
