Topic: Cordoba Guitars

For some time, I've been looking around for an all-solid-wood guitar, with a Spruce top and Rosewood body ... hopefully in the $1,000 range. My frustration has continued to be with neck width, which is typically 1 11/16" at the nut for the majority of acoustics. Since I also play classical (2" nut) and 12-string (1 7/8" nut) I find myself jammed up on a standard 6-string, owing in part to my hand size.

So while visiting the luthier I use this week, he asked if I've ever heard of Cordoba Guitars. They're based on a Flamenco-style build (Spanish heel) and have a 1.8" nut width, almost identical to a 12-string. He endorsed their build quality, and they have the wood combo I'm looking for just under $1,000. Does anyone on Chordie have a Cordoba, and if so, what do you like / dislike about it? I'm going to have to order it on-line without playing it, and although the seller has a convenient return policy, it would be better to have someone's feedback first.

You will like the Cordoba and their build quality is very consistent, and the price is reasonable. Plus you already own a D10 Cordoba so you know their quality.  After you receive it let us know how you like it.

The D10CE is the one I was originally referring to in the above post, and ordered / bought it in October. I posted a pic here in the Acoustic Forum, called "New Guitar Day". I sold my Larrivee D02 for about the same as what the Cordoba cost, and couldn't be happier. Here's the link to the post with a pic of it in my arms:

I got the chance to play a Córdoba last night.I found it be a nice guitar especially for the price.
