Topic: Family (this is the new topic :) )

It looks like , barring any negative inspections, we have a sale on my house in Texas!  The buyers just handed us a check to get a termite and standing water inspection.  I will be flying home and helping Carla with the one way drive up here with the dogS  (Yes I meant to make that S big, its 5 of them - I know we are crazy - I didnt think I was ever moving again!) and a U haul trailer for the stuff she does not want the movers taking.

The boys will spend the summer with their friends and fly up before school.  They wont know anyone here in the summer so they will be happier in Tx.

Just wanted to share that with everyone smile
OH and here is a Pic of my oldest and youngest.  The older boy  seems to vanish when his sister pulls out her phone. LOl
( I apologize in advance for the size , my daughter just put it up that way)

You should wait till winter, harness the dogs and mush them up to WA with the trailer in tow. Make those critters earn their keep!

Re: Family (this is the new topic :) )

Well Scott, the kids look happy!  ARE they happy though?  OMG - your family must be excited to go and do and see new things, but moving as teenagers must be difficult for them.  Especially so far.  I suppose though, you gotta do what you gotta do - and - learning that at this age isn't a bad thing!  I hope they're embracing the change.  As difficult as this has no doubt been on the whole family so far, I expect they'll be ready for it when all is finalized!

A CHECK!  Whoot Hoot!  That's good news!  This clearly means the buyers are serious.  I remember when we bought our house, I think that was the last step that we needed to take before scheduling the closing.  smile  Awesome!  Now... the bigger question... do you have a new place lined up for the whole family AND dogS?  wink  Get to work!

How many hours of driving is it?

Congrats, Beamer! Those are handsome, healthy, and happy children you've got there. I've got two boys (30 and 34 yrs old) and my lovely wife of 36 1/2 years ... makes me a very happy family man, as you obviously are as well.

THAT is the quintessential, beautiful,  ALL-AMERICAN FAMILY right there, my friends, about to embark on a new adventure! I can see the pride on Mom and Dad's face with no problem at all!

Thanks for posting this great pic, Scott and best wishes on the move to Washington!

Beautiful family

Good luck with the move.
I  think Amy has a good point - I could not imagine moving my daughters as teens - but it does have some valuable life lessons in it.

Thanks for sharing and best wishes !
