Re: NGD

That's a real beauty, Russell ... and with those SD pickups it should have a nice smooth growl. We'll be real curious to hear how their Ever-Tune bridge works. ESP is one of those companies that has really stepped into the spotlight at Gibson's expense. I'm looking seriously at one of their neck-thru bass guitars right now, and both the workmanship and quality of components are exceptional.

Re: NGD

I will test this bridge to the max and if it cannot do as advertised I will return this instrument but if it is genuine my Gibson Les Paul will be jealous as it will sit next to it and I love the color and the growl, especially the growl lol

Re: NGD

Great finish on that axe. I have never heard of Evertune. Mind making a demo video to share with the group?

Yes, I was impressed with the finish also it reminded me of a tiger. Evertune is a highly regarded system by top musicians who have made demo videos that put me to shame but I am always willing to showcase my ideas and songs for my Chordie family I will make a short video to demo my new git. glad ya like it! smile

Re: NGD

I located a very informative video with a demo of the system if you just want to watch the guitar playing go to 1:48 on the video but if you have time to listen to the introduction it is informative this is one very talented picker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAtnUz82HdY&t=23s

Re: NGD

Another company that does a very impressive job with their finishes is Diamond Guitars (a.k.a. DBZ). They make great use of transparent finishes on Birdseye, Flamed, and Quilted Maple tops, and have some interesting variations on the body contours of both single and double cut classic styles.

Yeah, that's a real cracker, as Peatle might say. When I saw their "Bird of Prey", I thought of Beamer ... our resident "Metalizer". All that said, I like your new ESP a lot!

Re: NGD

TF it arrives this morning!  it's on a Fedx truck as I type smile

That's a real beauty. Love the colour and Finnish. I know you'll make it sing.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

It is quite striking and lighter than the LP the 24 frets add a new wrinkle to discover thanks smile

Thanks Joey I am in the process of setting up the tuning(it takes a while to understand) smile

Re: NGD

Sadly I opted to return this instrument I had issues with the tuning mechanism and I did not like the feel of the neck for fretting because the frets are too high and space between is to narrow even less then my strat thanks for all the chordie support and a word of caution before investing in any higher priced instrument PLAY IT FIRST!

Re: NGD

Sorry to hear about your disappointment, but it does make a good point about taste and try before you buy. I was tempted to buy  a Rickenbacker as per John Lennon (the black and white one) from an on-line shop, tried one in a local shop and hated it, that's when I bought my Telecaster, the very guitar I didn't want...so I thought. Well done for being tough enough to return it.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: NGD

That's a good reason to buy from Sweetwater.

Garuchi won an American Strat in a contest. He immediately sold it and bought a Les Paul. One man's dream is another man's nightmare.

Re: NGD

yeah Phill it was a  disappointment but i would feel a lot worse if they did not take it back (they also sent a pre-paid shipping label all I had to do was call FedEx and arrange a time.

that's a relief Russ, as you told Zurf, i've bought mic's strings and stuff, even a drum kit (electronic) but not a guitar.
