Topic: Rapid Fire

Rapid Fire
The vexation of a fool is known at once.
When it is prudent to ignore insult
Words used in haste flowing like rapid gunfire.
Bullets flowing of the end of the tongue,  boomerangs aimlessly going in circles.
A boomerang powered  by an arm out of control and governed by a reaction of the knee instead of the head.
Bullets circling back  full of regret to the one who fired without deep thought about a consequence caused by the lack of a  pause.
Machine gun fire killing more than once the same victim.

Re: Rapid Fire

Well done Peatle, you always seem to be able to put into words what I'm thinking, although I've never thought of it as rapid gunfire. Top marks again.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: Rapid Fire

Apt description of the many who shout first and ask questions later ... wonderfully put, Peatle.

Re: Rapid Fire

TF and Phill thank you for your comments and taking time to have a read of my poem.

Re: Rapid Fire

Another poem that makes you think. Great job.

Music is what feelings sound like.
Music is life, that why our hearts have beats.

Re: Rapid Fire

Like a machine gun, some words spewed in anger can't be re-called. Dead is dead whether by gun or by tongue. Well written, dear friend.

Hugs to you and Maree from me and "She Who Must Be Obeyed". smile
