Real Nice Russ

Here is a link to  demo - might answer questions on the S1

If I could play like this player - I'd own one for sure.

If I was 30 years younger I'd want to be sitting on the couch with her - forget the guitar! smile

Have fun Russsell

Re: NGD Fender Elite

We are just recording original songs at the moment on my Tascam DP24 and the drummer is doing side gigs with another band but we still remain, friends, my health has been a hindrance to gigging I am dealing with emphysema brought on by my own ignorance from smoking, that and advancing age but I remain optimistic smile

Re: NGD Fender Elite

Beautiful guitar, Russell ... that Sky Burst Metallic finish is just stunning, and I've always preferred their maple necks to the ebony / rosewood capped ones. I did a bit of reading on it, and discovered that it has noiseless single-coil pickups ... I didn't know such a thing existed. Nice purchase, and may you have many years of enjoyment with it.

Re: NGD Fender Elite

I can't see the guitar from what you posted Russell

Thanks TF I was quite smitten with the appearance and one nice feature it has is the neck is a C shape but at the top it contures into a D shape to allow easy fretting for those high screaming notes love it! smile

Re: NGD Fender Elite

The pic came up with me! I fell in love immediately. Then I checked out Jim's vid and loved it even more. So I checked out the price on UK websites...£1400 or there about, lefties are £1800 ish and that's with the rosewood neck. If I'm going to get one, and I really want one, I want a maple neck. I wonder how much they'd want for that?
Just as an aside. Clapton saw various Americans playing Strats in the late 60s, but couldn't get the maple neck in the UK, so he bought several in the US while on tour with Cream!

Russells's links worked perfectly from my location.

Russell

Got it now - what a beautiful guitar.  I would love one, but  way ut of my price range. If I had the skills of some the players on here I might consider it, but with my playing ability it would be a poor investment.

Thanks for showing this Russell - and many happy hours of playing this beauty!

Thanks Jim smile it is a beauty to be sure,  I have an ongoing account with Sweetwater for the last 10 years I run up my credit and pay it down but it seems I am always finding new toys so in effect I am leasing not owning but it works for me smile  To get the skills you have to practice and study if you wish to excel this is a formula for life in any endeavor smile

Phill it is more then a beautiful guitar it has some updates on the fretboard which make it lot easier to reach the notes on the upper frets and I like the maple necks also, there is no difference in price for the maple neck at Sweetwater I wound up playing (with tax) 1740.00 and it includes a hardshell case! smile

Re: NGD Fender Elite

With the exchange rate, that works out very similar. All the ones I've seen on the web have the hard case also. I did find a site advertising the maple neck but I want to see if they'll take my old Strat in part exchange. I don't play it now, but I miss the whammy bar! Then I still have to work on Ann!!!!!!!! Wish me luck

Keeping my fingers crossed for you smile most will not except a trade in I tried that and was told to sell it on Reverb.com Happy Holidays to you and Ann smile

Re: NGD Fender Elite

WOW!!! this Strat is outstanding only one thing to make it better is to change strings. my friend who is a good player just got one and told me the same thing but other than that it plays and sounds beautiful! I will put up a video when I get the chance I am really busy with a new song and I get together tomorrow for a recording session to lay a rhythm track with the drummer
the bass and primary rhythm tracks were recorded last week along with a rhythm machine and then come the vocals and harmonies and of course a nice tasty lead solo smile
