Re: Dreamboat Annie (cover) Heart

This is again very good, Neo ... and you don't even sound a bit like Ann Wilson! lol She remains as one of my favorite female lead vocalists of all time. Nice job on one of their softer songs.

Re: Dreamboat Annie (cover) Heart

Neo guitar works good but found your vocals a bit hard to hear but still a good sound all round. Better than what I could do. Maybe the  microphone needs to be closer to your mouth.

Cheers - the MXL is an omni-directional microphone, so I found it picked up a lot of guitar; when I mixed it down the vocals were supposed to be treated separate to the guitar, but I found modifying anything became 'muddy' (and this was excluding the other MXL from the mix) - unfortunately when I'm doing the recording and being the one recorded, it's hard to monitor these things as they happen, and you only get to work with the outcome, so next time I'm switching back to a uni-directional mic and maybe putting the acoustic baffle on my soundhole. But thank you for the compliment!
