Topic: Soundhole Too Small To Accomodate A Pickup

Hey Guys,

For the longest time now, I 've been trying to find an aftermarket pickup to fit the GD 0300 Fender gifted me by Amy and Jim several years ago without any luck. The soundhole is not quite 4 inches across.

On  a recent SoundCloud effort (well 3 years ago, actually) I used the Snowball Mic gifted me by Russell(God, I hope I am remembering that correctly - please correct me if not!), and it did a great job, but I'd really like to amplify that 6 string if I can.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Bill you can use a Piezo pick up. You put it on your bridge or body top.  It wont leave any marks.

The Dean Markley is what my buddy used and its a fine unit, but no volume option.

Or you can have one mounted under the saddle where you plug into the strap nut.

However I think one of  the first options is probably all you need.

beamer! Great to hear from you, thanks!

Ja, I had already decided that nothing is going to fit the soundhole, so I have settles for the first piezo which link you sent me. I always knew I'd have to stick a pickup onto that pretty guitar. I just hope it doesn't mess it up too badly.

Thank you, Sir!
