Cheers Jan. That is me playing piano on that one. If Maree had played on that the piano would have been far more better than what I can do. Maree has stopped playing the piano and I don't think she has played anything for about two years now.

I missed April so I didn't want to miss May as well.

I was at a "barn" jam Monday night. It's quite literally a barn that this fellow turned into a huge music room; complete with a bar, a stage, and all the sound equipment you could ask for. He does this every 6-8 weeks. He's in the process of installing a kitchen and bathroom also. The only thing missing is the animals. Lol! The lighting is very subdued so the quality is a bit lacking but it a great setting for an open jam.

So here is my rendition of Eric Clapton's "Promises." On stage with me is Paul on the harmonica, Jerry on the box drum, and our host Frank on the bass.

Jim your song writing as always of a high standard.
Jan your voice and ukulele hit the mark perfectly.
Richard was good to hear and see the three different versions of your song.
Uncle Joe enjoyed seeing and hearing you and your band it looks like a perfect venue to play the owner has come up with a good way of doing things.     

Sorry Jandle, I saw your other post and realized I hadn't listened to, or commented on, this recording. I remember seeing it, so I was probably at work, and it depends on how lazy or busy I am as to whether I get the headphones out of my bag or wait until I get home. Then distractions happen ...

Anyway, the introductory notes felt a bit rough (not sure how easy or hard they would be on a uke), but once you got into the strumming it felt a lot more confident, I liked the overall feel of it there ....

And I know I did listen to this one at work ... I was surprised how big the barn is, and all the instruments on the walls!! Was also surprised at the tempo you did it at; I usually go quite fast on this song (and you missed the F#->G slide thingy!!), but it was great to see so many people out having fun and making music, because that is what life is all about!!

Here`s another quick (and I mean quick)  recording I did this afternoon in between housework lol, a few little mistakes in it but just recorded on a break before starting the vacuuming (anything to delay the vacuuming *sigh*).  I didnt muck around re-recording as got to much to do today.  It has the word MAN in it.

Jan that is a great party singalong song and your singing and playing is good enough to get everyone singing along with you. Your a natural talent.
