Topic: NOVEMBER 2022 FSOTM – ANYTHING TO DO WITH WATER

OK, here we are in NOVEMBER already!  This month we are looking for SONGS that have ANYTHING TO DO WITH WATER.

Some suggestions were:

I have to break some bad news to you though.
that stuff you drink isnt water,water is clear,not brown with a creamy head.

Thank you Piri, after a week of trying to write lyrics about water and a war vet with PTSD those few lyrics were all I could come up with. Then when I turned on the phone camera and picked up the guitar my mind went blank again and I struggled to remember what little I had written. i know you may find this hard to believe,but i have a drinking problem.
you know i like a beer or two,but my problem is drinking too much water, yes true!
i take some meds everyday to stop me drinking too much.
its very rare condition, only a few people in NZ have it,and they are mostly my relations.
if i didnt take the meds i would be going to the toilet hourly,which can get pretty tricky,depending where you are.
thank goodness for shrubbery,it has saved me many a time.

EB, your genetic condition most probably helped fertilize and water a few shrubs until you were diagnosed and got the right meds. My grandad at nighttime use to under the cover of darkness use his bladder to fertilize and water his Lemon trees claiming it was good for them.  My Nan was never sold on Grandpas gardening technique.

Well here is a second entry for me...
hope to record it sometime this month smile
feel free to have a go at it if you want.
of course, it's very simple and basic musically, but the lyrics are pretty meaningful .
I think it probably needs a "just music" solo spot where the chords or something changes, but I am not that talented musically to figure that out.
I think Phill once told me to use a bridge - still haven't mastered that idea yet though smile  !
I wrote it after my wife gave me a great good morning kiss and long hug yesterday- left me feeling pretty darn good smile

Peatle, I was memorized watching you pick away at the guitar, I always notice guitar players and how they play, guess because I am not very good on the guitar.  You plucked away at it like an expert.  Anyway, a short song but to the point.  Great to see you entering smile  PS:  I am not the best at drinking water, drink too much tea and coffee

The other link, that I originally posted, is just where only I can edit. Again, so sorry. This video is from the night I initially wrote in a songwriting contest a couple of years ago, where I had to write 5 songs in 5 days with different writing directions each day. Anyway, I normally post recordings but here you can actually see me performing this one for a change.

Here`s my very quick attempt tonight to cover a song for the month.   Finding it a bit difficult to record anything let alone play/sing anything at the moment as we are renovating and the room I play in and record in is fill of furniture.  A bit of a mission to set up the recording gear.  Very rusty as haven't been playing or singing much lately.
