Shooter Jennings, any other fans out there??

Yeah so recently my cousin got me started listening to this guy, being a big Waylon fan it was kind of cool to hear his son.
Given the poppish sound country music seems to have taken on, it was kind of a breath of fresh air. He actually writes his own songs, and writes pretty descent too, so how come you never hear him on the radio???
I guess because hes on an independant label, which got me to thinking,
are there more independant artists there that the cmt wont tell me about that are actually pretty descent?? Anyway kind of gives this (rather young physically)  dinosaur at heart a little bit of hope that good country music wont die with the last of the legends.....
