Topic: The Haircut

just another silly kids poem

The Haircut
My big brother needed a haircut
i told him i could help
i sat him in a chair
and shaved all his scalp
when he looked in the mirror
he cried where is all my hair
i pointed at the floor
it was all around the chair
he said he would complain to mum
hey we can`t have that
so i told him
your hair will regrow
in the meantime
wear a hat

Re: The Haircut

Brian
It reminds me of the time my brother held me down and pulled one of my baby teeth

I was screaming and he says - DON'T WORRY YOU GOT MORE.

Re: The Haircut

Brian that is hysterical! Makes me wonder did it actually happen?

Jim, sounds like your brother was a bully, just like the brother in home alone? I must admit though, I knocked out a few of my younger sisters teeth, by accident of course...they were loose at the time.

My dad used to cut my hair, short back and sides, not a good look back in the early 60's.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Phill

Peatle did some  quick sketches to go with a couple of these poems
i love what he did, sometimes an illustration takes it to another level.

EB, this kid could have a good future in the shearing shed.

Re: The Haircut

easybeat, that is a great poem right there.  Totally could visualize that whole scene and even the drawings to go with it.  Keep them coming and put them into a book.   Peatle love to see what sketches you have put together for these poems of easybeats.

Your poem reminds me of a song I wrote when I was about 17 and had to have my hair cut to get a job
