That would have to be one of the best modern day single man blues songs that I know of.

Re: songs i wish i had written (4)

That's a great song a # 1 hit for Fleetwood Mac.
That was before  Fleetwood   changed  the members of the band and added  Lindsay Stevie Nicks and Christine (Perfect) McVie She married McVie.

Kind of a sad sad bluesy song.

Shall I tell you about my life
They say I'm a man of the world
I've flown across every tide
And I've seen lots of pretty girls
I guess I've got everything I need
I wouldn't ask for more
And there's no one I'd rather be
But I just wish that I'd never been born
And I need a good woman
To make me feel like a good man should
I don't say I'm a good man
Oh, but I would be if I could
I could tell you about my life
And keep you amused I'm sure
About all the times I've cried
And how I don't want to be sad anymore
And how I wish I was in love

Your vision is not limited by what your eye can see, but what your mind can imagine.
Make your life count, and the world will be a better place because you tried.

"Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except only the the best." - Henry Van Dyke

Thanks for writing that out Jim. I've listened to that song many times over the years and accepted it as I heard it never thinking of the words and their meaning. It makes a sad song sadder, if that's a word?

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.
