Topic: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

...but that's all right - I no longer really belong here anyway.

I just wanted to explain that after my wife got so sick and ultimately passed away, I gave all my musical instruments to my grandsons in the hope they would develop an interest.

I have been through hysteria, panic attacks, people trying to help me to no avail, until I finally wound up in a hospital where they diagnosed me with prostate cancer and borderline psychosis.

Just wanted to explain my absence.

I intended no hurt to anyone here. Just trying to stay alive. Sometimes it was just a thread.

We remember you ... sorry life has thrown you a rough time to get though, I hope you come by more often ...

Re: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

It's so good to hear from you Bill, I wish more of the people that used to frequent our little community would pop in occasionally. I'm so sorry to hear about your wife I know you were very close and to be honest I don't know how I would cope without my other half. I'm also so sorry to hear about your own personal difficulties and ailments, I've suffered with panic attacks and they're no joke. I hope they managed to sort out your prostrate problems?
Please don't be a stranger, I for one miss your witty repartee and your somewhat oblique outlook on life.

Re: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

Bill wonderful to see you  back on chordie. I have always enjoyed your wise outlook on life and thoughts about music with the added bonus of reading those interesting stories from your life. I was sorry to hear of Dondra passing. You have had more than your fair share of battles but I am also sure you are just like David who overcame Goliath with your bravery you will overcome all the things that dare to challenge or are stupid enough to think they can defeat you. My brother in music  your a champion.

My reply is stuck somewhere in the hamster treadmill. I got nothing but a blank page when I clicked on submit. It was  lengthy so I hope it will turn up. Sorry, my friends!

Re: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

You have nothing to be sorry for Bill. Thanks to Jim for reviving Dondras picture she was a beautiful woman as you are a beautiful man. Live long and prosper my friend.

great to hear from you,i`m sorry to see life has been given you such a hard time.
i cant thank you enough for the support and comments you used to give me
when i posted music.getting ignored is probably the worst thing that can happen
when you share a song or comment.an honest negitive comment is more preferable.
you were always encouraging, that`s something i have learned from you,i always listen
to anyone offering up music or comment.
thank you for teaching me this.

Re: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

Thanks Jandle and everyone for the kind responses. As I wrote in the post that's stuck somewhere in the chordie system, I am just now getting over retinal surgery and finally able to  write with this patch over my eye making me a look like a modern day pirate. I'll have to have the other (right) eye done next. in a couple of weeks and I hope by then my sight will have improved.

Personally, I have reconnected with a friend from 50 years ago who has been my companion and was a friend also to my late wife Dondra. She has been a godsend driving me to my surgeries (cataracts, etc). I am still in remission from my prostate cancer, but still under watch in case it comes back.

Long story short, I am recovering from more than just eye surgery. I am seeing my VA (Veterans Association) counselor and am finally getting  into some stable moods.

I love you guys and ladies (I still will not say "gals") and will be writing more as I can.

Your Friend

Bill

Re: Probably No One Here Now Would Remember Who I Am...

Greetings Bill. Hope you get less problems with your surgery as Ann (AKA The wife) did. She had her first just over a month ago and had an infection behind the eye. That sorted they decided to do the other eye which seems to have cured her vertigo and floaters, that was 2 weeks ago she's now back to her normal self. So, good luck with your second surgery and look forward to more posts from your good self.
