We do seem to have an ongoing problem here jo perhaps admins need to filter applicants better like some sites do

I believe there was a spam filter, but as you say it seems to have gone to sleep. I try and check all posts (they're mainly spam) each morning and evening, there are usually one or two I kick into touch each day. When the new updated interface was brought in new members weren't allowed to add stuff at the bottom until they proved themselves team players, and that also seems to have gone. Between you and me when that few days last week where Chordie was unattainable I thought that Per had had enough and closed the site. If that happened it would be a terrible shame. Let's show Per that we still love Chordie and give him all our support. All in favour say YEAH

just annoying ads / spam don't open them just X them out (delete or close)

Mojo, do you get these "pop-ups" on any other sites? And if anyone else gets them could you also let me know. The reason I ask is that I don't get any ads which would mean that unfortunately your equipment is infected and you need to get a good adblock prog. Maybe Per or Roger could give you better advice hopefully they'll see this post and get in touch.
I know how annoying ads can be have you been on YouTube lately?

I'm with you Joey, it was a great community friendly and supportive until people discovered FB. I don't see the fascination myself. Here I can converse with like minded people whether musicians or just music lovers. I think anyone could write a song and it could be good with a little encouragement and guidance. And like they say...it's good to talk.
