Topic: chord identification?

I was just noodling and I found this lovely chord but I cant identify it, can someone please help?

behind the 6th frett it's an Aminor shape with open A and E strings it sounds sweet if you play it from the barred D chord. it's basically a Dbm but as I said with an open A and E. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Phill,

I always use the following if I want to identify a chord. Just fill in where strings are pressed and it will tell you the chord.

Re: chord identification?

Thanks Roger, I thought it would be a derivative of a D chord turns out it was A major7th, sounds nice though especially if you play from a barred D.
