Re: MAY 2026 FSOTM – ANYTHING GOES

Richard, that was very different cover of Valerie, liked your take on it.  Gorgeous backdrop you're playing in as well.  I have played this song a few times myself on the ukulele a long time ago, I never quite mastered it but if I can I will try to cover it again (however rusty I am with performing these days).

Cheers Richard, thanks for having a listen.  You picked a nice setting to perform Valarie and the sound was also good on it.

Grah, good music and interesting to watch the places where you and your band entertain I also like your choice of songs to cover.

Brian, Vulli who owns Muffin Break  in Jville would love what you have done with your song about Muffin's.

Jan,  look forward to hearing some more of your music when you get back into playing and singing it also good the way you support Chordie .

Thanks Peatle, your always very kind.  Feeling a bit rusty and out of touch with performing these days.  I haven't really played that much since the covid era crap when every thing shut down and groups didn't get together much anymore etc.  I dont tend to play as much as I used too, probably not motivated on my own as much.

Peatle, good message in that song, "you can rise" along with the other lyrics in there.  Great to see you back entering a song for us, an original and by you, awesome.

On a side note....  We (hubby and me) were watching something on You Tube the other night and your video came up on the side as it does with videos we have watched.  My hubby says to me, "hey I saw those signs the other day when I was in the city".  I laughed and told him, that you written and performed this song and would have photographed those signs when you were in the city because you do that and sometime that you interview different people in the streets of Wellington City and you must have used them for your song.

Cheers Jan, those signs are made by Simon who many pass in the street around Wellington. I would love to make a video of me talking to him. He is okay with me taking pictures of his signs as that as he tells me is what he is about rather than been interviewed on camera. Simon is a wonderful human being. If you ever get the chance to talk to him he is good value.

I've got to add that I enjoy Peatles videos as they give us a raw and honest look at some people and areas that we wouldn't always see ... hope that makes sense!

Cheers
