Topic: some

Some.                          Phill Williams.

Every one is different.
No two are the same.
Some live for a quiet life.
Some desire the fame.

Some are built for comfort.
Some are built for speed.
Some for independence.
Some desire the need.

Some prefer to work the land.
Some prefer a desk.
Some push buttons on a pad.
Some wish to do less.

Some create the misery.
The poor fools have to live with.
Slaves and coal cascading drifts.
Disease they clearly missed.

Is every one so different?
They come both large and small.
In life they look so pleasant.
Till Photoshopped: they crawl.

Some are rich in fortune.
Some are rich in love.
I know which one I would be.
Lucky me, I'm already there.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: some

Piri, your words are brilliant and inspired me to write this. I stole some of your words. Also watching a homeless guy on youtube  using his homelessness as a platform to success helped me come up with some words about finding our own label or richness.

                                    Private Ledger

The world keeps a ledger, your number, your badge, your place in the line.
It calls a locked door “policy” and a hungry child “not our department.”
We live inside its gears, some days, we feel the teeth.
We cannot love our way out of every locked room
but we can refuse to let the room name us.

We are not all the title stitched to a coat.
Hope can be the hand that reaches for true love when the lights go out.
We can be a stubborn answer to every system that says nothing can change.

There are some who measure riches in towers, in numbers that climb and climb.
But I have seen a whole fortune
in two friends splitting the last orange,
in my wife's  laugh warming a winter kitchen,
in a shoulder beside mine while the rain makes music.

Let the world keep its rankings, its polished doors, its golden rules.
I know what I carry: love, rooted deep, unlisted, alive.
And when we stand together, even under a broken sky,
we are more than what the world can count.

Some are rich in fortune.
Some are rich in love.
I know which one I would be.

Re: some

Your words are sometimes confusing
Your words are sometimes blunt
Ignoring those rules and rhymes, my friend
Your brilliance shines through

Brilliance in enlightened minds
Though weaving like a spiders Web
Interlocking, interviewing, interacting inter space?

We may shuffle from this mortal coil
But like polution we leave behind us
An oil slick or something sweeter, kinder,
Let that be us
We that seek peace and respect
Respecting others that deserve respect
Not all are deserving, but still lead.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

I took your beautiful poetry and blended them together... added just a tiny bit.
I also blended Welsh and Mauri Music   - instruments I never even heard of before !  smile
Also added   Welsh and Mauri lines at the end

Your vision is not limited by what your eye can see, but what your mind can imagine.
Make your life count, and the world will be a better place because you tried.
