Topic: Acoustic or Electric?

I thought I'd try using your Poll feature to test it out.  I wasn't sure what category to put it in so I put it under Chordie feedback; feel free to move it.  You might find the results useful someday.

Being a beginner, I play acoustic.  I love the full natural resonance of acoustic.  I'm not planning on going electric anytime soon, but who knows?

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

Hmmm.  After thinking about it, maybe I should have put this under the Guitars & Accessories category.  You may move it.

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

I did move your post.

I am using a open source forum called FUDForum. I have changed it a bit, but there are still features there that I know very little about. Like the poll-feature.

We'll try that out. If it works, and people are enjoying it, Ill keep it. If not, it might be removed.

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

Hi why not go for the best of both worlds and get a semi acoustic??? Yes i know they have advantages and

disadvantages but i bought a Simon and Patrick

semi acoustic and i think i was a fantastic

choice. I LOVE IT it's easy to play and the sound is amazing both acoustically and through an amp. Good luck

Yes you can't beat a true Acoustic/Electric but another alternative is the Rickenbacker 380PZ, which unfortunately is out of production. I got one a few years ago and surprisingly you get a very great acoustic sound out of it with it's Piezo bridge. Just a suggestion if you can find one and afford it.

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

My guitar is a yamaha acoustic. And though i love playing this guitar, i wouldn't mind being able to use the electric too. But yeah, acoustic would still be my number one choice.

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

Re: Acoustic or Electric?

There is no rule that says you can't have both.  I've got a couple of each.

Someday we'll win this thing...
