Topic: THE BEST GUITAR SHREDDERS in your band = PROBLEMS
It took me a while to figure out what the meaning of "shredding" was.
Guitar players trying to play as fast as they can.
IS IT:
- an art
- a skill
- do you need to be a "classical" guitarist like Yngwie Malmsteen?
- or is it WORKING VERY HARD, by playing hours and hours on your guitar?
I believe it started end 60ties with JIMI HENDRIX
I need to add JIMMY PAGE, RICHIE BLACKMORE, CLAPTON and BECK + A LOT MORE VERY FAST GUITARISTS. (Alvin Lee on WOODSTOCK, I'm going home.
- the G3, with JOE SATRIANI, STEVE VAI and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, this concert I have on DVD.
SATRIANI is the CONSTANT factor and he is accompanied by the worlds finest guitarists like VAI, ERIC JOHNSON, PAUL GILBERT, JOHN PETRUCCI and some more.
Having a SHREDDER in your band has to be OR A DISASTER or a BLESSING.
That's why they play ALONE I think but surrounded by big names.
So WHAT IS YOUR TOP 5 LIST OF SHREDDERS?
1) A woman = THE GREAT KAT
2) MICHAEL ANGELO
3) YNGWIE MALMSTEEN
4) JOE SATRIANI
5) STEVE VAI
- MY GUITAR PLAYS EVERY STYLE = BLUES, ROCK, METAL, so I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT.
