Topic: Different DANCE styles from the 50ties to the present.
Music = an universal language.
Dance = a physical expression on music.
It is very difficult to stay on your chair when some different music styles GIVE YOU AN IMPULSE TO MOVE. Dancing it self is found not only in every culture but also in the world of animals, in particular birds.
A personal quote: I hate those women dancing and stripping, with 2 "balloons" not moving at all because of "silicon" hill (in stead of silicon valley) Or a LAP DANCE it won't excite me at all (there is definitely something wrong with me). THESE ARE MAYBE DANCE STYLES, but not contributing to my thread.
We all know what BALLET is (my sister was a professional ballerina, she's 48 years now, lives in Berlin, is married with an Englishman who's parents came from MAURITIUS and he is a BALLERINO)
That last word is one of my word games.
What styles did pass the last 50 years right in front of us?Am I wrong if I say that a dance has a very complicated origin, like all the different styles coming from Europe, and mixing?
WHAT IS ON MY LIST:
- SWING JIVE
- LINDY HOP turning into R&R dance moves like in the movie grease.
- THE TWIST who changed more than you think. And people started dancing alone: no partner directly involved but in front of a partner.
- POGO (the PUNK dance, jumping and bumping)
- DISCO
- HEAD BANGING on hard rock/heavy metal is this VALID as dance style?
Please I need your help here, thanks a lot.
- MY GUITAR PLAYS EVERY STYLE = BLUES, ROCK, METAL, so I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT.
