It would help if you tell us who your audience is, what their general tastes are, what kind of music you like to play and what level of ability you feel you are at. I suspect those tidbits will get some suggestions flowing.

Depends on who you are playing for and what you are able at this time to do

I attended a high school music talent show, the winner was a 14yo who played a great
version of the Beatles song Blackbird. what about the star spangled banner as an intro?

Pick an up tempo tune you know really well.

Hard to suggest without knowing your vocal range and guitar level. The audience will be young, so they won't be as critical judging of an older tune, but may not like it as much. You really have to remember you're doing it for them and give them your heart. They're on your side. Soul Asylum "Runaway Train" is not overly challenging either in vocal range or guitar technique. Plus it's not too old.
