Topic: Is sucks not having a band :(

I have been trying to set up a band lately but no luck.My friend asked me join there band but i was playing accustic at the time and not considering buying an electric. Then a month ago i bought an electric but they had already filled up the guitar space And to make matters worse they took the only drummer i know

Re: Is sucks not having a band :(

that is unlucky cazador but look on the bright side, you now have an electric guitar and ready to start a band.

You could advertise in local rehearsal rooms or here on chordie in local bands. Or ask the drummer you know to play both bands. Or wait until he gets sick of the one he is in then let him ( or her) beg to start a band with you.

I know how hard it is and frustrating. I tried for ages when I was younger. I got in a few bands but never actually got to start one on my own so I gave up trying and I am happy playing on my own with my acoustic, but then I am 37 an married with young kids so I cannot get out to rehearse and gig as much as I would like to, but if you have the time then stick with it, something will come up eventually.

good luck

Its just so frustrating. It would be easy to find guitarists but drummers are very scarce
