Topic: new to chordie

hi guys my name is steve im from manchester.been lerning to play guitar for about 8months now.learned the following chords-a,c,d,e,g,am,em,cadd9,e7,a7,d7,em7,asuss7.just trying to learn songs now.just wondering if i was doing ok.ive hit a bit of a brick wall for learning more chords.any tips on what to do next.still not very good at getting from chord to chord.any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Welcome Steve.  You sound like you're doing fine.  Practice your chord changes a lot.  There are a lot of chords there to play lots of songs.  Add a new chord once in a while as you come across them.  It'll come to you in time.  The more practice, the better you get.  Good luck and let us know how you are doing from time to time.

hi Steve Welcome Steve.

Sounds like you have got ample chords to start strumming away with.

Go get yerself 5 songs and spend time doing them. Make sure your first 5 are songs you really like and will enjoy playing and ones you think you will not get sick of.
go find a few easy ones with 3 or 4 chords.
If I were you I would go for a song with G,C,Am,D etc, or D,A,G  or E A B
