Topic: forum question.

Perhaps someone could inform me as to how one would edit their profile on chordie.  I Have been building websites and forums for about 5 years now, but I cannot find the edit profile feature on this site.  It isn't a standard javascript or html forum I guess.  Any help is appreciated, I'm sure other people would like to know as well.

Re: forum question.

As far as I know, your 'profile' on chordie is simply some of the very basic info you provided when you became a registered user.  There is no place on chordie to write all about your pets and favorite foods and astrological sign - thank goodness!

To view a chordie forum user's profile (such as it is) simply click on the their user name in a forum post.  You can see when they registered, how many messages, and view all their messages if you choose.

Does this help?  James

Re: forum question.

As said in another post. There will be major changes to the forum in a few weeks.

Re: forum question.

um no that doesn't help much.  Any forum I have built is editable, so you can add your signature and everything to it.  Don't you have a way to edit the signature?

Re: forum question.

I will most likely change the forum software in the near future. I am thinking of switching from fudforum to punbb. The currect software was overloaded with strange features. I modified it to become very minimalistic, but is not very pleased with the result. It is very ackward to maintain.

Instead of patching this forum, I have decided to change the forum software, and start from scratch. Signatures will be available when the new forum is in place.
