Topic: editing songs
I have been away from Chordie for a while. It used to be that I could edit songs, including correcting spelling and adding chords. What happened? This was a very cool feature.

The editing feature was stopped because of copyright issues by the webmaster and untill this is resolved unfortunately will not be available.
Thanks, Russell
Considering that the work on Chordie is supposed to be the interpretation of the person submitting, how are there copyright issues? Virtually every one of the works I have viewed has some flaw in it, usually spelling, word interpretation or grammar. Just wondering.
I dont know all of it just that it started with the law suites against some websites that allowed downloading of copyrighted songs for free and then the beatles songs were removed and Chordie was threatened with being shutdown by a company that purchased the rights, all of the history is located in some other thread in this forum.:)
Thanks for the info, I figured there had to be lawyers involved somewhere, if a good thing got screwed up.
so true they figured out a way to sell water next we will be charged for how much air we breathe an air tax of some kind if you cant pay they tape your mouth and nose with duck tape and say "IT'S THE LAW"
Are you some kind of clairvoyant? In New Hampshire they recently instituted a "View Tax". If you can see water or a mountain from anywhere on your property, they hit you with a heavy surcharge on your property taxes. Even Blind owners must pay, because their visitors can benefit from the view. Also, I think the breathing thing is in committee as we converse.
God help us our greatest enemy is ourselves, legal terrorism
As the great 'Pogo' said, "We have met the enemy and he is us".
