Topic: Life is like a cup of coffee

Just as you think you see the world through straight eyes and have figured out what is going on, someone comes up with a different perspective.  It is these different ways of looking at things that give you that old Ah ha moment.  This one really hits home with me.

In keeping with the same vein.  Has anyone here ever wondered why they are not better guitar players than they are?  Of course, we all wonder that, don't we?  Here is the the secret to great guitar playing and anything else you may want to be great at.

Well Pete, on the being successful, I got a quote from a guy that I interviewed when I was in grad school.  His name is Ray Linder, and he was CEO of GoodStewardship.com.  And may still be for all I know.  Anyway, he had this to say about success.  I remember it because I've got the quote framed at my desk so that I can look at it every day. 

"You can't help but be anybody but yourself.  If you want to be successful at anything, you need to figure out who you are and be that."

I agree with that quote, but I have seen some who just don't do well being themselves.  You know some of these.

Very good!  I like these... and I shared the coffee one with my friends on facebook.  We all complain from time to time that we don't have the things we "want" ... but those things are just that... "things".  I'll take my coffee from my 14 year old cup that's stained and chipped and enjoy it!

Art and beauty are in the eyes of the beholder.
What constitutes excellent music is in the ears of the listener.

I guess thats how my list of things to do works !. From the smallest to the biggest ive been listing  stuff for years. Some come right out of the blue at times.
I love the coffee video.. Im a holy terror for not having stained cups. I just cannot drink from a cup/ mug thats stained .. A jam jar id drink from as long as it spotless ! I  know i have a problem now. lol
