I have no idea what its like to go to studio, but I do know that you are a great writer with a unique style.  Whatever songs you choose to do in the studio, keep your ownership stamped all over it - don't change. To me it is your uniqueness that makes your songs inimitable and distinctive.  I really admire the works you have shared... always the top shelf!

I am looking forward to studio versions.  Good luck !   ( and to all Chordians- we can say we knew him before he was famous - when he was just a gherkin!) smile

that was hysterical      turn off sound and you think he is playing for a metallica band.

by the reaction afterward - i would guess that he actually is the star of the band, not the singer.( although she was  excellent)
thanks for sharing

If we're going to consider Christmas songs, here would be mine.

absolutely.....

some people see roses, some see thorns

I personally liked it....   not as gut wrenching comical as some of their (Flight of the Concords) other performances.... but it was quite clever and well performed.
Thanks for sharing Peatle

Awesome poet

How lucky of a Generation are we to have had poets like him, dylan, Angelou..etc.... ?

So many creative inspirations

I like that song Tower of Song, but my fave is still Halleluiah.

I saw a few other videos you posted working with large cut  lumber - is that part of your occupation or just a hobby ?   Really cool stuf.

A couple of my best friends live in PA   out near Williamsport in a small town called Hughesville - that anywhere near you ? I went to college in PA as well ( East Stroudsburg)

Thanks for your posts - quite enjoyable

I 'd love to hear your versions too. AS you can tell I can't play well or sing for crap so I really enjoy it when those of you who can cover one of my songs. [If you don't want to sing it - I'd just like to hear how you played it.]

Thanks again

[Song]
{t:Slow Dance (for the rest of our lives) }
C                                                                F
She’s got those eyes that   look right through me
G7                                                                        C
Her tender touch always makes me feel just right
C                                                                     F
So graceful as she moves around the dance floor
G7                                                                     C
I could dance with her all through the night

Chorus
F                                                                                    C
With her arms around me, the world just goes away
        F                                                         C
her kiss makes  heartache  fade into the night
         F                                                                C
Oh,  please make this  love song  last forever
G7                                G                     C
A slow dance for the rest of our lives

C                                                                F
She’s got a heart that ‘s full of love and kindness
G7                                                                          C
And a smile just like early morning sunlight
C                                                                 F
So graceful as she moves around the dance floor
G7                                                                      C
I could dance with her all through the night

Chorus
F                                                                                    C
With her arms around me, the world just goes away
        F                                                         C
her kiss makes  heartache  fade into the night
         F                                                                C
Oh,  please make this  love song  last forever
G7                                G                     C
A slow dance for the rest of our lives
G7                                G                     C
A slow dance for the rest of our lives
G7                                G                     C
A slow dance for the rest of our lives

Great video, great music.

Isn't amazing to see guy's (and girls) like Pegleg and think about what their lives were like.  The true "home of the blues"  - life's stories!
here's a link to one of my fave women blues performers.... Lucinda Williams.... it's @ a NPR tiny Desk Performance........ There are 4 songs.... I love the one at 14:20  called west Memphis- it's based on a true story as well -        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTu4cXW9H_Q

Thanks for sharing Badeye... you are spot on again !
