I agree with what you included... certainly some or maybe all applies to many people.I know there have been plenty of days where I have been " worn" too.
Yet somewhere in our lives, there seems to be something that keeps us going....... faith ? another person's love ? a kind act by a stranger ? a child's smile ? or maybe it's just hope that another day will bring something better in some way.
People with conditions such as your friend, and those that encounter all the maladies of our cynical world, should be so admired for their courage to fight another day, every day. Seems life gives us a cross to bear in some way.

I thought it was going to be a vote as well, that is why I sent in a bunch just to give some options. However, sInce it went into the hat with that wascally wabbit....... I think that because I was already chosen once before, I don't I should've been the one to be chosen again. Unless everyone is really good with the song take it easy that was chosen - why don't you re-draw and take my suggestions out so another chordian has a chance to be drawn. (Or maybe pick a third one.)

I think this song will mean different things to different people.
A couple of days ago my daughter sent me a picture of her husband - hugging his mom on her bed. She is under hospice care. It was one of the most moving pictures I have ever seen. At first I had no response because I was overwhelmed with emotion- I had no words.
Today I wrote this.
I suppose some could interpret it as a husband wife, boyfriend/ girlfriend song, but I wanted you to know where I was coming from and my perspective.
I hope you like it and I hope all of you live every day to the fullest and cherish all of the special moments you have. I played it with a capo on 3, but you can play it however best fits your style.

Amy and Phill both recorded this for me. I already had made a video with Phill's cover which was awesome.
Amy's is just heart warming.... and I was feeling a little sad this morning as my daughter's mother in law is very ill and in the hospital and probably soon heading for hospice.
As I listened to Amy sing it again this morning I decided to put her version to video as well.
