He sounded a little like Leon Russell to me.

I've had that CD for a while now.  A great collection by Dylan.

I believe everything you stated is true also, Old doll..  We tend to make our own sadness and happiness.  Not that there are not a lot of outside influences, but it is the way you process the outcome within yourself, that makes you feel as you do.  Perception is a strong influence.  This is much like the secret.  If you see yourself happy and in a good position in life, you will experience it.  If you envision obtaining something that is out of your grasp, you stand a better chance of actually getting it.  Dr. Doll.  Truely inspiring words of wisdom there.  Picturing things you weant gives you the ability to work harder toward getting them.  It does work.

I've always thought accordian would be difficult.  Hundreds of buttons on one side, piano keys on the other and you have to constantly move it back and forth to produce the air that plays the tunes.  You don't see them much anymore.

I like Lionel and Enrique.  Good choice, Old Doll.  Since we all seem to like Keb Mo, here is another one by him.

Ah, the yankee flipper and the squirrel launcher had me laughing.  What great inventions.  I like to get a launcher like that for some of my relatives who visit too often and lay around in the recliner.  Hmmmm... Recliner....Launcher.  I'll get back to you on this.

If I barely learn a new song one day, I will wake up all night thinking about it and can't wait til morning to get back to it.  But no changing instruments though.

Yep, its all relative.  If you can sit down and start playing songs from memory, chords and lyrics, then I'd say you play guitar pretty good.  Now, me, I need to see the lyrics and chords before I can play most things.  I never take the time it takes to memorize the songs.  Put the music in front of me and I can play a lot of songs.  I'd say, either way, if you play in front of anyone, with or without the music, and they say you are good, then you are a guitar player.

I watched Michael Grimm do this song the other night on Americas Got Talent and he blew me away with his rendition of an old Ray Charles song, "You Don't Know Me".  I found the song and even transposed the chords to help me reach the notes, but for the life of me, I can't figure out all the chords he uses, even though I can see him play it.  Can anyone lay out the chords for me on this?

Nela, you're not far off base.  I went looking for seeds to plant in my garden, but noooooo.  They don't exist. So, I planted some willows instead.
Zurf, I love Keb Mo.

That would be a good add for Red Bull energy drinks.  That is funny.

That was good steve. I don't have any suggestions.  And there is nothing wrong with your voice.  TYhe sound of your voice is not as important as keeping in tune and hitting the right notes.  You seemed to do that.

Ray Charles did this one, as well as did many others.  You Don't Know Me.

Great little video, Old Doll.  I have some trees in my yard which house some starving little birds like that.  I hear them every time mama comes around.  I have to laugh each time.

You should only need a capo if you can't reach some of the notes easily when you sing.  Try a song without it , then try the capo on each fret until you can sing the song comfortably.

Some old country to liven up the place.  A great song by Waylon Jennings.
