I don't know of any, but why don't you start one up.  It could be lucrative.  Or just start one in your neighborhood just for fun.

Welcome dalesman.  I am a 59 year old trying to get better since I neglected to stick with it through the years.  I find that strings are relative.  You will try many types and brands over the years and some will become your favorites.  There are some good ideas above.  Good luck on your new journey.  Stick with it and you will flourish.

Melody with me also.   I usually know I really like a song the first time I hear it.  That is the melody calling me.  Words do come later as I get to know the song.

Roger was the military phonetic pronunciation used for the letter R, which meant received.

Yes, as papaguitar said, cherish and enjoy them while they are young for sure.   I catch myself saying, "I sure miss my little girls"  They are now 30 and 33.

Yep, great story, mkm.  You are on your way to stradom.  It's nice when you have a forgiving audience like that.  Glad you got a chance to do it.

Pretty right on perspective of the technology around us today, deadstring.  It's coming so fast, we have to start going backwards pretty soon.

Ah, Old doll.  Back when music was simple, but good, and when voices didn't sing 10 syllables per word and the guitars were strummed slowly and magically.  Here is another simple song by Johnny Rodriguez.
