Nice one - Your Morepork and Jan's Tui should get together !
Both great pieces --
just exemplifies how chordie broadens our cultural horizons - I never had heard of either before... now I am better off for it. ![]()

Another excellent lyric and arrangement. It sounded quite " Beatle"ish to me, which is always a sign of excellent music.
Sentiment of the is well established, and the delivered performance was top notch !
Keep'em coming my friend, a pleasure to listen to.
You really need to connect to a music producer - you have a lot of "Texas sized talent " !
Jim
great question - i spent two days messing with the same problem - never figured it out - so i gave up. Hopefully someone has the answer ![]()
Thanks all, for your comments.
I made some changes - thanks Bill !!
The writing comes relatively easy for me - the playing and singing - well that's a whole other ballgame.
As for the Dentist - apparently the hunter has now become the hunted -- poetic justice.
I wanted to put in a line some where about the defining silence of his roar - but just couldn't find the right line.
I love the forum on chordie..... so much fun and sooooooo many good people !
I didn't want ruin this thread - so I posted a song I wrote about this as bill requested in a new one. Hope you like it.

Easy beat - you write nicely - what a Raquet you got going!
Phill - your comment - made me think AC/DC --- we've got the biggest balls of all ! ![]()

That is really, really, really, really good !!! Beautifully captured moments !!
and I love this line
"I can't strum a note that could compare to this symphony" so true ......
nature is absolutely amazingly perfect in so many ways.
I was hoping for maybe one more stanza -of you describing what could you felt.... (i.e. wind blowing on you,
heat of the sun on your face, cool of the forest, softness of the moss underfoot etc.....) to accompany the other senses - but I guess that's me being greedy for just a little more of your great work !
you have made mother nature proud in your depiction for sure.
Thanks so much for sharing

I do it all the time - i use the notepad on my phone usually to record thoughts that pop in my head --- it seems the easiest for me.
I usually have two or three going - then I forget about them for a while and when searching for something on my computer - they will invariably pop up and I'll go
" hmmm, oh yeah.... I remember that "
another scenario for me is a lyric that i have worked on - but can't find the right chord progression - I get mad - put it away forget about for a year or so :0 )
I woke up the other night had a great verse and chord progression in my head.... sat on edge of bed - went over it a couple of times...was gonna go downstairs and write it down..... but then said to my self - eh - I 'll do it when i get up - went back to sleep . You know the outcome probably already - woke up "Craft syndrome" set in ( .... can't remember a freaking thing) !
I have no idea of words or lyrics - just remember that I had a good one !
Jim
Nela
Hoping things improve for you and your family.
Jeez - enough is enough !!
May you be blessed with some good fortune soon !

Tim McGraw played a song at the CMA's a couple ( maybe more) years ago... he brought vets and children of fallen soldiers on stage at end. I was leaking like a broken dam. I forget the song, but sure wish I had it. If anyone knows what song it was let me know.
I'm an old sentimental anyway..... I also coach three varsity sports - and I agree with Amy - everytime I hear the National Anthem it gives me chills.
Lastly - one of my favorite instrumentals was Mason Williams - Classical Gas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mREi_Bb85Sk

I just listened to your Tree of a thousand stars
so peaceful and beautiful. It took me to another mindset. Thanks - it was awesome.
Like the old phrase a picture is worth a thousand words - in this case the music brought a thousand images to mind.
well done Arkady
Jim
Great Episode
Dave Chappelle's was hilarious. So many great skits
I changed the lyrics a tad bit - re made the demo
It's a lot better - the version - not my singing..:)
that was a great link Graham - I enjoyed the performance - amazing.
LOL though - I could not stop thinking PHILL every time they showed Pete.
Great music - amazing !
Thanks for the post !
That is incredulously cool ! I wish I could play well enough to deserve one. Maybe someday
Thanks for sharing it.
I absolutely agree - in the post title, I included everyone with struggles. My best wishescertainly go out to NELA and his lady as well !!

When you're all cried out, you've endured just about every pain imaginable to the soul and body, and you feel like all the strength in you has withered away to the point that quitting makes perfect sense......... but for some reason, you don't...............
it is then, that you know that the love you have for each other is very real, you know that the friends that continue to support you and offer hope as well as their prayers will always continue, and somehow you will find the courage and the path to overcome your sufferings, and to see the sunrise of another day and enjoy the love and happiness that ensues.
Wishing you and your wife peace, strength, and love on the way to recovery.
