The Songbook title has now been amended and, although the Member is not active on the Forum, I have decided to remove any reference to his username in this thread.

You got my vote for mod of the month!

I just bought a Galaxy Tab.  One of the ones that came out a couple years ago, not the new one.  It was through an auction site for used equipment, and it is listed as not having the USB/power cable.  I went to the Samsung site and they wanted $50 for the USB and charging cord, plus shipping costs.  I went to Amazon and got two of the cords, a leather case with built-in bluetooth keyboard, and a card reader so I can load photos and stuff more easily for $35 including shipping.

That's some good savings.

sounds like you scored on a much better deal, and amazon is usually pretty trustworthy,it is one of the few sights I will buy things online, stay warm and dry out there zurf.

It is not possible for a Moderator to change the title of a songbook, perhaps Per could, but we cannot, however I have written the following to the Member:

Chordie is a family site with many young people and ladies as both Members and visitors and so swearing is not allowed in any way, shape or form. You therefore have 24 hours to change the disgusting name you have given to a public songbook.

Failure to do so will result in a ban from Chordie and a deletion of all your private and public songbooks.

Roger Guppy (Moderator)

I will look again tomorrow and if it is still the same I will 'delete' the Member which will remove any trace of him ever being on Chordie. Public and private songbooks will be deleted. I do hope that he has a shred of decency and realises his lack of judgement.

Roger

Thanks roger!!

Some one has posted a new public songbook with a title that I would call offensive or at least in poor taste.

I saw it too and yes it is offensive,I hope a mod will warn the person that we do not like stuff like that, and we do have younger people looking in here.

My daughter (the trout) has this awful habit of losing picks. She has an even worse habit of taking the picks off of all my guitars and losing those too. At .75 apiece, they get expensive. I probably spend 7.50 a month on picks. I hjave asked nicely, yelled and even made her look for them. The first time bugged me the most. Some of them I had since 1983. They are herco flex 50s and they never break. Now I bought a pack of 100 on ebay. Just venting. There is no way to stop it. So I keep telling myself " THEY ARE JUST PICKS" .She is my daughter and there are a lot worse things that she could be doing.

Hold back allowence money at the beginning of the month if you can,to cover it and let her know why. ( I could have said you are just getting Picky )

Getting married for the first time was stupid................................... repeating the excercise was shear lunacy lol.

Had I found the right girl in the first place, as many of you seem to have done, then it would have been a different story.

Oh well, you know what they say, third time lucky wink.

Roger

Amen too that!

I haven't picked up my guitar in a week (was traveling last week), my college basketball team lost a heart breaker today and my wife AND girlfriend are both out of town.

A skype jam might be just the thing I need to pick me up - I'll be around and can host a group if anybody's interested!

And Girlfriend???

What is a scalloped neck? Do they carve out some of the neck like they do with bracing? Also, I can't picture what a scalloped fret would be like.

Welcome back mb if you are the same one,you have not been here for a long time.

A British acquaintance of mine would disagree with you. He thinks American beer is served too "cold and fizzy".

jets, that is what a friend of mine told me also and they drink it mostly at room temp,I guess we all have our own ways but I will stick too my ice cold beer. I have also noticed that most of the english and irish movies show the actors getting dark ale or beer, but those are movies, maybe on of the U.K. members will let us know.
