tony they may sell a y chord with the 2 rca jacks and a guitar plug on the other end I know ive seen them at radio shack but if they dont get the FEMALE 1/8"STEREO TO 1/4" JACK and that should take care of it good luck and any problems give a shout here smile

the ends on the right are RCA jacks the other is a stereo 1/8 in jack you can get a female adapter that this will plug into and it has a 1/4" guitar plug on the other end this go's into your amp so plug the two rca jacks into your "outs" plug the 1/8 "stereo jack into a 1/4" FEMALE adapter it has a small hole on one end and a guitar plug on the other this go's into the amp its a common chord and can be purchased along with the adapter at any electronics department the best one would be Radio Shack the cost is less then $10.00 for both and the reason it hums or buzzes is because the output from the boss is a weaker signal and needs to be sent thru smaller wires and the y chord and adapter will solve this smile

are these the ends that plug into your boss output source?

Tony by "small ones" do you mean rca jacks? or 1/8" stereo plug? if its rca jacks and I'm betting it is because you hook up to your stereo you can solve this with a Y chord adapter that plugs into your rca outs and can plug into your amp let me find a photo of what you need ok?be right back smile

ok your playing in G so the last chord before you go to C "everyday" is a G7 but the riff is still a slide down on two strings but you can just start it on G for 2 beats and then G7 for 2 beats and into the C that's the easiest way smile

Zurf what key are you playing this in? if its C the first chord is F and the into is a slide down from the 5th fret on the 3rd and 1st string to the 3rd fret useing your 2nd and 3rd fingers to a C chord and a C with a D added, thats a C with your pinky on the 2nd string 3rd fret and it go's right into the F 'everyday I get more C confused if your playing in another key let me know and I can give you the chords for the intro, actually its not a chord intro but more of a riff smile

If someone could tell me what the technique I recommended in terp53's post

With the scale for C, C being 1, D being 2, E being 3, etc, play 1, 2, 3, 4, - 2, 3, 4, 5, - 3, 4, 5, 6,  etc.

And the same back down - 8, 7, 6, 5, - 7, 6, 5, 4, - 6, 5, 4, 3, etc.

CDEF DEFG EFGA (1234-2345-3456) and CBAG-BAGF-AGFE(8765-7654-6543) is a accending and decending major scale exercise it is quite usefull for building coordination the next set of notes starts on the second note of the previous group up and down smile

I only suggested to check the pickup not install one

3,915

(7 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)

It could be a problem with the bass pickup or wiring shorting out have the pickups checked for continuity(current flow) if it comes and go's that could be the reason smile

Phill I hope someday we will meet im sure we would have many stories to tell each other, this song was written on the spur of the moment all I had was a few chord changes I liked the D/F# to G, and the G chord has a D on top (2nd string 3rd fret) so the change form one to the other was made without moving my 3rd finger and it is kind of a bio of my musical life and the lyrics just came easy and natural thank you my friend for the nice comments some day we will jam a few tunes if the creek dont rise and the good lords willing smile

Toney I hope this didn't happen in the church,I cant remember an incident where the band members duked it out over an arrangement but there were some "heated discussions" but most of them were resolved usually we just argued over who was going home with a lady smile

Hey Russell ,

Actually though , if I had to use an instrument for self defense , I would want a bass that I used to have ... It was a Peavey T-40 ... That thing weighed a ton ... Thick solid maple ... I know that thing would have stopped at least a small caliber round too ....
