I think Joey and I have the same stylist.  Mother Nature.

I think there are quite a few of us that use the same stylist. smile

Finally, I am very grateful I do not work with or know any of you personally, as all of you sound pretty unforgiving,"Kick'em while their down"!

It was nobody's intend to kick anyone while they were down. None of us could have possibly know you were "down". Honestly, you couldn't ask for a more helpful, friendly group of people. There are a handful of us getting together in a couple weeks in Syracuce, NY. Always a good time. But when you walk into a room with guns-a-blazin', people are going to start shootin' back.

I'm actually surprised you came back in. Most folks that post just to blow off steam are never heard from again.

So how about we start over.

http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_6865.gif qazzz.

Many people have had issues since the changeover. One of our friendly mods (who shall remain nameless smile ) even went so far as to ban a whole bunch of us .

A lot of the issues are discussed on this page. http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=3 There were a pile of bugs that needed worked out when we came back online. Most have been addressed and resolved. If you can't find the answer to a question, start a new thread and someone will be able to help you figure it out.

Pull up a chair( armless of course smile) and stay awhile.

Since I got out of high school I really haven't been much of a sports fan. I rarely watch TV at all except for the local news.

Congrats to Roger and Tig.  http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_3256.gif

Nice Jan. I just listened to them both.

This is great hearing all the different interpretations of the same songs.

Sounds great Joe. http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_1851.gif

Pray tell us Wise One, what sweet music would spring forth from such wilst being struck by a slag hammer?  Would that it echo the refrains of Angels, or screetch the song of Harpies....... mayhaps a dirge of fading dreams?

The bread machine, being well versed in all disciplines and genres, could no doubt regale us with the mystic voice of sweet Angels and the stinging cry of Demons long ago banished, melded together in one all encompassing melody to both soothe and rile the soul.

OK I sat down this afternoon and I have just finished recording Wagon Wheel. Again a choice of song that I do not know but I really enjoyed doing this one. As a change from tradition I have no drum and bass from Band-in-a-Box with this time, just me fingerpicking my Nashville tuned guitar and strumming a standard tuned one.

Nice!

I gotta get back to this one.

You know what song would sound really great with your approach?  Knocking on Heaven's Door.

Yeah but he may not know that one either and after already doing 2 songs you're not familiar with,  doing another one so soon may seem a bit of a chore. smile

Another one that rattles the memory banks.

Good one Phill.

Alas, poor bread machine. We knew it well.

OK Bill, I found you through Scott's page and sent a request. Just so you know, I have an account there but I don't really post anything.

That crossed my mind back in the day as well. But with living alone in a new area, no TV and only knowing a couple people I had nothing else to do so I stuck with it.

You'll get there; just like the rest of us did.

I'm trying to recall some of the songs he played last year and NY to get an idea. I'm drawing a blank as to his possible choice for the FSOM.  http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_0295.gif

http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_6604.gif I've never paid more than $500 for a guitar.

I did play a Taylor 814 at Guitar Center a couple  years ago but at $4200, it was a tad out of my price range. http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_2926.gif And honestly, I wasn't very impressed with the sound or the feel or it. That one is pretty though.

Well Uncle Joe, I tried to leave a message for you on Youtube, but for some reason even when I sign in with my personal account Google still wants to use my organization sign-in.  If you got "Archery" instead of "Zurf", you'd probably wonder what the heck was going on.  Anyway, I really liked what you and your bud did.  That's what music is about - sharing it with others.

Thanks.

Yea, YT gives me a hard time when I try to sign into the ChordiePa channel.

I have a few of Scott and me up there. I think "Me and My Uncle" came out pretty well too. If you click on "Uncle John" you'll get the whole list.
