Ken that's what makes the world go,variety in taste, sports, music and I dont find American football boring I grew up on it, from the glory days of the Green Bay Packers and the merging of the old AFL and NFL but nobody played soccer in the United States till later and then only a handful of soccer clubs and schools featured this sport, admittedly its grown in popularity but will never replace football or baseball as the national sport here smile

hi SR I listened to samples of your myspace songs the one thing they all had in common was no variation in the drum effects (fills) your effects unit has a lot of existing on board goodies which include a midi drum machine with multiple patterns and kits plus a 8 track digital recorder and a delay looper with 8 levels of undo add a compact flash memory that holds 99 songs, ok it seems like you have a nice little effects pedal and as you state you just need some variation on the rhythm(recorded drum tracks) I did find a manual for the GNX-4 and I will read the section on the midi drum machine and get back to you, also I will do a search for some pre-recorded drum tracks and see what I can locate smile

Marc the transfer of data from a zip disk is easy all you need is a Y adapter it is a chord that has 2 rca jacks on one end and a singe 1/8 in stereo jack on the other the 2 rca jacks plug into the left and right "outs" on the BR-8 and the single 1/8 in jack plugs into the microphone input in the back of the computer, maybe the reason for frustration with audacity is you are not aware of the full potential of this program or of the editing procedures and there are new plugins available to enhance the recordings and produce a quality CD but you will still need a program like Nero to burn the final results to a CD,the media player can do this but Nero dose it better,if you need any help with the BR-8 or audacity give me a call smile

Hey Ken, I have a BR8 and I know russel does too. I like mine fine but the zip disk transfer to your computer can be a hassel figuring  out. It has great effects and capability. However they have straight to cd recording studios now that I would like to have. Thats a great price to by the way I paid alot more. Never cared much for audacity.  marcalan

gears you can transpose useing the software mentioned but a basic understanding of a major scales construction can be applied to any key and will serve you better in the long run,as you have stated you are a beginner so why not begin at the beginning? It seems today we are offered quick alternatives to almost everything from food to education, the popularity of Guitar Hero is based on a marketing strategy that people are by nature lazy and will opt or choose anything that dose not require a great deal of there time to achieve plausible results,or mediocrity in all its glory, this is only my opinion smile

This is what Jerome was referring to clockwise its the circle of 5ths counter clockwise its  the circle of 4ths some intervals or steps have enharmonic equivalents like F# and Gb,C# and Db,G#and Ab just locate the key you want to sing or play in and if you have the chords look and see how many steps or intervals they are from the key you want to sing in and transpose smile

yikes! it sounds like a nightmare with the Burt bacharach song "raindrops falling on my head" only insert PCs for "raindrops" lol I will inquire of my PC guru of this phenomena "the Chordie freeze" and if there is an antidote smile

Yes Russell, I keep it up to date and clear out all the junk. I've also found that it does it a lot when on Chordie and sometimes it will not let me access Chordie when everything else is ok.

There may come a day when walking down the street we will all have to dodge 'frozen' computers coming crashing through peoples windows followed by a torrent of verbal abuse. I'm sure you can picture that in your mind.
