This is the artical I created based on the new information I hope they accept it this time

pheww tall order! I will use the information you have provided and put together an article on chordie and mention the forums but stick to the facts and search for a way to project chordie as unique (I think I may have lost the t shirt) on my word processor and copy the link with references to chord thats already listed in wiki and hope I can slip by the "hit squad"
admin wrote:I want the article to be about Chordie (but the forums could be mentioned, though it is probably hard to get past the delete squad).
Chordie is the largest search engine for finding guitar chords and lyrics on the Internet. It was started in October 2002 and has today 200.000 registered members.
--maybe something about what is unique with the site?
Chordie is based around the chopro file format, a file format that separates text and chords. The format is also used by programs like Chord (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_(software)). Separating chords and lyrics makes it possible to transpose songs automatically and create graphical chord grids for guitar, banjo, ukulele and mandolin.
Chordie has the policy of immediately removing any songs that any artist wants to remove. The sites faq (chordie.com/faq.php) states that no artist has ever requested that.

Anything along the lines of "it is a cool site", just makes them automatically delete it.
Any other suggestions?
I switch between elixir lights and silk n steel, for recording purposes I use silk n steel but that's only in the studio at home I put the elixir's back on for practice because of the longevity and my limited pocketbook
Phil just had a listen and I like the arrangement and lyrics nice song, you seem to have developed your own style which is good keep on doing what your doing sounds great
Ark Im gonna have to start calling you "mr.mellow" nice song kind of laid back its one of those kick off your shoes and relax genres well done
Ken nice job on the lyrics and I gave a listen it kind of reminds me of early Bob Dylan keep on recording its like anything you put time and effort into your rewarded with better results nice job

On this link there is still a possibility to start a page on chordie forums or chordie as a web site but I don't have enough information about the origins of chordie to make it "interesting enough" for the wikipedia delete squad to leave it alone but its still possible because deleted articles are stored and can be re-inserted if additional information warrants it.
tony

This is in response to a few queries regarding the proposed deadline
Russell_Harding wrote:With the labor day holiday a lot of people were away so I have decided to extend the planned deadline to October 1st and because some people are not able to compose in a short time so in order to give those who wisely spent the time with friends and family to submit there recording of the challenge the additional time and any comments are always welcome

Per you got your wish! I know its not an article on chordie yet but before you can submit an article you have to be registered with wikipedia so I will need some additional information like when chordie started and where membership numbers and any members of note(with there consent of course) and then I can submit a article listing all the forums and resources and I would like a extra large black t shirt
this is the dowload page goodluck and contact me if you have problems setting it as your default player
http://uberdownloads.com/software/video-player/VLC.html
Ken there could be several reasons why, first if your windows media player is your default viewer it might not be updated to recononize wmv format only avi, theres a free viewer available VLC from sourceforge.net it was included when I downloaded the new audacity 1.3.5 version but you can request it from sourceforge.net you just have to type in the google address bar vlc download either at sourceforge or your home page and if you get this download contact me the vlc plays all formats mov, wmv.avi and mp3,wav ogg vorbis so you set it as your default player

Welcome to chordie emmys I hope you enjoy meeting nice people we got a whole lot off them here and it wont take long to find your way around, if theres anything you need help with theres a bunch of folks who can give you some good advice about music or whatevers on your mind so visit often and enjoy youself
You dont need to sell your soul try counting along when you strum each down strum is a beat like 1 2 3 4 see if that helps
Times have changed, when rock and roll first started there were only a handful of artist and since this was a new industry they were sought after to sign lucrative contracts and offered large funds upfront to insure they would sign a contract but as more bands jumped on the bandwagon (no pun intended) record companies realized they were the ones in demand and sought after so the music industry came full circle and if you don't have a proven track record like a lot of CD sales there not interested so its become what can you do for me not what can we do for you and most of the record companies are going broke because independent producers have moved in and developed new talent and marketing strategies that bypass the old guard and reach a fan base via the internet, radio and concert tours and there is digital distribution for companies like napster Ipod ect...so if you want promotion you have to do it yourself by paying for a recording session and producing a high quality CD =product then you have a chance to find success.there are no recording angels handing out money anymore most or all of them went bankrupt.
very cool video but i wouldn't have the guts to walk up to a lion and expect him to remember but you never know with nature
