Hi Badeye, I just read this online, seems this happened in your neck of the woods. I must say that I've never heard of her, but sad to hear just the same.

Hi G S E,

I myself don't know anything about that guitar, but I did find this, so whatever model you have I hope is there.

You Know, in my day, Jimi Hendrix was considered the greatest guitar player in the world. I'm sure some will argue that and make a good case but generally speaking thats how it was. Then comes Stevie Ray, who I thought took it to another level, now I'm hearing people like Tommy Emmanuel, Clive Carroll, Andy Mckee as well as others, and yes, I know it's different types of music, but it's all good. I still say though that I miss the days when people wrote, played and sang their own music, but these talented guys stand alone, very gifted, but I'm sure they work very hard and long at thier art, I'll never reach that level, as most of us won't, but it's fun to dream and listen to the masters.

I guess I'm the lucky one here, while I have not bought expensive guitars, my wife has always told me that if I want it, buy it, she asks for nothing in return, Again, I haven't spent much on the two I have, but I have been looking at Martins as of the last 6 months or so. as well as other guitars. We are lucky that we are about to come into a little windfall that was unexpected, so maybe, just maybe the Martin could be in sight, or some other guitar that grabs me and says"I belong with you. She's a very sweet loving beautiful Lady, and I'm so lucky to have her.

One of the stories told before the movie by a local TV sports guy was that in the early days of Nascar that "Ned Jarrett" had career earnings of 138,000 dollars, the guy who came in last, in the point standings last year "Joey Lagano" not sure thats spelled right, but anyway he made more money coming in last place than Ned did his whole career. They told the amount Joey made but I can't remember how much more it was. I guess thats how far that sport has come.....and yes Zurf...the buffet was great!

Kap, it's not out just yet, there just now trying to get a distributer for the movie, hopefully someone will pick it up. One other thing I forgot to mention is that one of the Producers  of the movie was an assitant producer on the movie "Titianic.

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I were invited to a private screening of a movie that was filmed in our area, it's called "Red Dirt Rising" My wife is related to the person who had the movie made about his Dad and his Mom, who had met during the early 1940's. He started out running moonshine, and that led to racing, as lots of people in the South know. I'm not a race fan myself, but I really enjoyed the movie, and afterwards there was a big buffet to eat. If you've ever seen the movie "Remember The Titans" with Denzel Washington, The kid who was kicked off the team because he wouldn't go along with the intergration of the team, his real name is Brad Yoder, he was one of the people who starred in the movie, got to meet him as well as the other actors. Everything was set up very nice at the screening, even the old cars from the movie were there, a black and white checkered walkway, really done up  great. I won't go into all the details but here's a link to the news report and website, oh by the way I even got to meet the guy who did the musical score for the movie, he was from California. I'm not sure everythings up and running on the website or not  but here's a link to the news report and website for the movie.

John Prine, one of the al;l time great songwriters in my opinion, love all his music, he can take the simplist of things and make a great song with it, been lucky enough to see him many times when he was younger, but not lucky enough to see him lately. I've been working on his song "6 oclock news", got it down pretty good now, at least my version of it.
