I use plus minus about equally.

I transpose to find a key that does not include B chords. Or, if I have to use key of E for example, then I always play B7 or Bm.

Good gravy everyone. Take it easy, would you? I haven't injured myself in a good long while. On the other hand, all I do is sit at a desk, so there's not a lot of opportunity for injury except for excessive weight gain.

Yeah Phill.  I think you've got a welcome mat out for them. They seem to hit Accessories the most.  I banned some knuckleheads in that section pretty much every morning this week, but I can't do anything about the spam for you.

Only three months late. I probably should have practiced another couple of months.

This was fun, and I still want to give a shot at multi-track recording with this to be able to add bass and get a drummer friend of mine to smack some skins.

If I ever get that done, I'll repost. Until that day that's likely never going to come, here's this feeble effort.

Dear me Phill - I hope you get it sorted out and healed up quickly.

In the U.S. they'd have called the orthopedic surgeon on call to come and get that taken care of on the spot, but if your insurance wasn't good you'd be paying for the privilege a long time.

Here's a Tom Rush bit to which some of us may relate... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yN-6PbqAPM

Another bit leading into a good John Prine song "Let's Talk Dirty In Hawaiian."  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPYDu0CDuI4

Another from the same concert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv-ZMYt-oaY

The Milk Carton Kids self-deprecating and dry humor comes through more in their stage banter than their songs. Here's a Tiny Desk Concert they did.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp0xjVzmKxY

Milk Carton Kids use comedy - but it's a gentle more homespun comedy with dry humor in their act.

Also, Tom Rush is as much a story teller as he is a musician (and he's a wonderful musician). His stories are always a hoot.

I'll look for some links when I'm not logged in on my tablet. It's a huge pain to do links on my tablet.

I'm glad you're well, but I hope your friends get the help they need to get through the storm and to recover afterwards.

Going to make a solid effort to make it for a part of the weekend.  I've been trying to talk Topdawgz into riding along.  I'll toss my cot in and hope to crash somewhere.

I bought a used Boss Super Overdrive for $35.  It's pretty cool.

Bought specifically for the work I'm still doing for Santa Monica, which was I think one of the April Chordie Featured Songs of the Month.

I'm using it with an acoustic guitar - which sounds REALLY cool.

If you have any nylon string folk guitars, especially with a cut-away, I might be curious.

Once you get the models and prices you want, remember we have the marketplace forum.

I saw one when I was a kid.  It was OK.  I can't imagine spending that kind of cash for the chance of seeing another one.

That looks like a cool instrument.

I had something like that at one time or another.  I must have given it away.

Congratulations on your NGD.  Here's hoping it doesn't lead to AWS (Angry Wife Syndrome).

Please. It's a gift. No charge for shipping.  I'm just sorry it took me so long to get it down to you.

I thought someone had sent you an electric guitar at some time, which is why I thought you'd like a small amp to practice with.

I had difficulty getting it to play except in the overdrive setting.  If it's playing right for you, that just means it likes you more.

Surprising it's a day early!  That's nice. Good service from UPS.

Gringo Honeymoon challenge accepted.

I just had a L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup put in my Martin D-41.  It sounds amazing. Very natural sound to my guitar. I love it already.
I have a question for anyone who may have installed one.  Will a TRS cable be of any benefit over a standard guitar cable. There is no note of it in the info sent with the Pickup.

I've contacted the LR Baggs tech people before with questions and found them to be helpful.  Check their FAQ page, and if there's no answer send them a question on their "Contact Us" or "Service" page.

Yeah, that Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues fits in nicely with my Sissified 70's Folk/Pop genre that I like so well.  Good choice.

No pressure.  Feel free to regive it if it doesn't work.  It cost me little and didn't work out, so I'm willing to share. Keep the goodness flowing.

Boxes FINALLY packaged and ready to ship.  I'll drop off tomorrow (Monday) when the store is open.  As soon as I drop them off, I'll e-mail the tracking information to each of you.

If they work out for you, great.  If they don't work out for you, find someone else to give them to.

I've seen you indulge in quite a few adult beverages Zurf, but I don't remember ever seeing you "waisted"...... big_smile

You may be forgetting the time that you and I were the only pickers down on the New.  Al A was there, as were a few others but most particularly Alvin and Gameboy stick in my mind.  Roger and I were sharing a good bottle of hooch that night.  About 2:00 in the morning, I'm guessing, I fell asleep in my chair while holding my guitar.  It was you moving your chair and having all the bottles fall over and clank together that woke me up. That might count. Then again, it was the third night of late nights, early mornings, and days spent in the sun on the river, so maybe not.

His final album is terrific. It's all covers, but I like covers, and they are distinctly Glen Campbell.

ok so I had every intention of doing bad moon rising, been playing that one for a long time. never realized how bad I sounded singing it until I recorded it. lets just say it don't fit my voice. so instead here is a song I just learned last month by REK.

I looked up the chords, and they seem straightforward enough. Not sure if I'll get the rhythm on the singing. You did it very well, but I may rise to the challenge. It'll probably wind up a hack fest, but what the heck. Were all friends here.
