neophytte, I had to listen hard to that song to hear the word `remember`, then finally towards the end lol. Well done
Now that would have been interesting to hear my poem done by you in a Noel Coward style

Zurf, I like that self-talk, glad you listened to yourself and brought that instrument of choice. Me, myself and I look forward to hearing it
Brilliant piece of writing skills there Peatle, nicely done
Larry deserves a medal for living with that lot
Larry probably gets more sense out of the mice he is meant to catch than some of the other rodents living there ![]()
Phill, looking forward to hearing this one and see how you perform it. Good to see you back writing again ![]()
Peatle, sad to hear about the 2 young ladies
Jim, very clever to incorporate all those words, I applaud you. I like the song itself too and agree with jets, that it definitely has that first love feel to it
A very touching song Jeff, I like it and how you have performed it. Nice guitar on this one. Great photo too
Any more entries for this month? I must admit to struggling a bit with the words this month for some reason. Hopefully I can still find a song to do for it.
Zurf you're missing in action the last couple of months with your entries to FSOTM. I always enjoy what you enter.
Roger, you seem to have disappeared to after a good start to FSOTM, hope you can join us again.
Neo and Grah1, yes look forward to hearing them in November, not too far away now is it. Year has gone so fast!
Jan
Okay - I have added a few words
WATER
RIVER
LAKE
STREAM
POND
OCEAN
RAIN
DRIP
DROP
added these .....
Mist
Sprinkle
Shoreand I have written a song that has them all !!
I see that what you told Brian however, that I guess I have to wait til November to post right ?
Jim
AWESOME Jim, thats amazing! Yes enter it next month (nearly here already), that would be great
hi Jan. for some reason the theme of rain/water has inspired me and i've began writing a song which i hope to finish for next month. if i forget please remind me
Fantastic Phill, will look forward to hearing it and see you what you come up with. Great to have you join in here on FSOTM
Happy Birthday Chordie ![]()

i know im early but the title intrigued and theres been some great poems here lately.
Anything To Do With Water
Throw it against a wall and see if it sticks
turn it on and let it flow
must be playing tricks
theres country music in the water
so sparkling and clear
theres country music in the sky
so far and yet so near
anything to do with waters got to be good
for without it we wouldnt survive
theres not a thing that would be alive
anything to do with wind blows me away
anything to do with water will wash me away
easybeat, a clever piece of writing, good visuals with this one. And yes, you are early, you will have to re-post this in November lol
Here is a water song I like by Kiwi songwriter Brooke Fraser. it's too hard for me to cover. Check out the drummer in this video a very original and subtle style of playing. Maybe someone will cover this song Something In The Water.

That was brilliant Peatle, she is a great singer and yes loved the drummer, so cool
Jan you're killing me - ain't no way I'm getting all them in a song ( well....maybe
)
Haha now that song I will look forward to reading TIGLJK, all those words!
Peatle, thanks for having a read of my poem, I had to think a bit about that one, a tricky word ![]()
neophytte, thanks for the comments on my poem, lol I was smiling to myself as it came together
Nice acoustic guitar on your song and agree with Tigljk about it being interesting and sounding great with the different strum strokes. I liked the intro to it. I could hear someone in the audience occasionally tapping along in time to your performance, it made me think how much this particular song would be next level with a drumbeat. Good to hear the audience joining in too with their singing. The only thing I would say otherwise, is maybe the vocals could have been a bit louder as the guitar was quite loud and at times overtook your vocals.
easybeat, thanks very much re comments on my poem (wanting to say "me poem" in a Pam Ayers kinda way). ![]()
TIGLIJK, thanks very much for comment as well, a long time since I have written anything poem or song ![]()
That is another brilliant piece of song writing and all the words to boot. I don't know how you do it, but you do. I really hope one of the guys on here or yourself will perform this one as I would like to hear it.
Excellent piece of writing again Jim. Sounds very much like a relationship in trouble and a broken heart.
Any more ideas for next month?
Well, I struggled with the word ELECTRONIC for this month's FSOTM, so I wrote this instead.
ELECTRONIC Poem
I been thinking about songs
Using the word ~electronic~
It had me bamboozled
Something chronic.
I tried to make it harmonic
Something iconic
But nothing came to me
My ideas very embryonic.
So, I sat down and visualised it
It had to be symphonic
Pictured it all lit up
All ~electronic~
Then the word faded
As I sipped my gin and tonic
Oh well, I will go watch my Panasonic.
Peatle, well written and so right! Smells, scents of times gone by, somehow form a picture in our minds. Thats the great thing about our other senses (besides our eyesight), smell, taste, touch, even hearing, brings pictures from our memories to our mind.
Grah, nice to see you covering a Chordie members song, especially getting it out into the public arena. Nice for Mojo to seeing his songs performed publically.
Nicely done Phil, a big thumbs up from me and awesome to hear you putting some of your music up again
How come we don't see Per on here?
Brian, really nice performance by you and I agree with Peatle, loved the Blues, Country sound to it. Extra special when it's one of your own songs, played by yourself and sung by yourself. Well done and you get an award for being the first to start this month on FSOTM once again, awesome
