Our favorite cuppa java is what we brew at home. It's a "house brand" from our local Superstore (Loblaw's chain) called West Coast Columbian Dark Roast. It's got that bit of sweetness that Columbian is known for (unlike Arabica or Sumatran beans) and the extra roasting gives it a nice bite without being harsh.
Sounds good!! If I was a little close I would be tempted to drop round for a cuppa. ![]()

Hoping for a real speedy recovery. It is certainly time that things turned for the better for Bill and Dondra.
Roger
Worst coffee in the world even more distasteful than Tim Hortons. ![]()
Roger
Keepitreal, you are correct with the international code, but Dondra has been moved to another ward and the number given earlier is now incorrect. I e-mailed Bill and he gave me Dondra's mobile number.
So; after 17 attempts over the past 8 days I eventually had the chance to chat to the delightful Dondra at 21:00 BST (16:00 Eastern) last night and Bill was there too.
Here's hoping that Dondra is soon back home all fit and well.
Roger
P.S. We must meet up next time I am in Nottingham. ![]()
Silkie has been with me the longest. She was dumped over a friends wall in March 2012 when she was about 3 months old. Very much an outdoor cat who only comes home for food and to sleep when it is cold outside:

She plays a pretty mean guitar too: ![]()

Here is Poppet. She lived with an old lady who had 14 dogs but Poppet was the favourite and the only indoor dog. The old lady went home to Germany and left a friend of mine to look after and feed her pack but whilst away she was taken ill and put in a nursing home never to return to Portugal. Poppet is four and a half and has been with me since November 2013:

Bambi came to me in in February this year after I lost my 21 year old cat. She was being looked after by one of the local rescue organisations who were struggling to find her a home as it is not so easy with older cats. Her passport has her birth date in 2001 but I do not think she is that old. She is very much a house cat who only goes out when she needs the loo and likes nothing better than to get under the bed covers with me and sleep in my arms:

Bella is the newest family member and has only been with me a couple of months guestimate birth in 2012. She had been found abandoned, abused and starving in a local town but has various condition that was making her difficult to home. She has leishmaniose, a condition transmitted by mosquitos, but it is under control with regular medication. She is also epileptic, the vets are not sure whether this is due to having distemper earlier in her life or a result of the bullet lodged in her skull that is unsafe to remove. She is on a daily dose of phenobarbitone for this. In spite of her problems and mistreatment she is the gentlest girl you could ever meet:

Jim's in love!!! (and I cannot blame him) ![]()
Great looking guitar, I was expecting to have to wait a while longer to see her and get your opinion. I am sure you will have many wonderful hours together.

H.N.G.D. or perhaps H.N.T.S.G.D. ![]()
Wonderful, be sure to post photos and let us know how you get on with her when she arrives.
Roger
Love this piece of music. It is from the Peer Gynt suite if I remember correctly.
Roger
Hi ???, welcome to the forum,
I, for one, cannot really understand your question. Please explain in more detail what and where you are wanting to edit chords in brackets if the following does not help.
As it stands it appears you are looking at Chopro to see chords in brackets. Instead of going there go to the very bottom of the page and, in green, on the right it says ' Correct song'. Click on this to edit a song.
Roger
Ken, you are too modest, you are a true troubadour, a wandering minstrel who brightens the day of anyone who hears you.
Sounds like a great weekend.
Roger
I was taught that when first learning scales one keeps below the 5th fret, the first finger plays the 1st fret, the second finger the second fret, third for third fret and pinky for 4th fret and to always use an open string where possible.
Once scales are mastered down there you can move to the more difficult to remember scales up the fretboard. ![]()
Roger
Bax, I think you have 'top to bottom' and '1 to 6' reversed.
The top string (number one string) is always the highest pitched note i.e 'e'
1 e top
2 B
3 G
4 D
5 A
6 E bottom
I can only make sense of what you have written if I reverse the numbers.
Using your notation I would write the G scale like so:
6-3-3/ 5-0-0/ 5-2-2/ 5-4-4/ 4-0-0/ 4-2-2/ 4-4-4/ 3-0-0/
and the next octave
3-0-0/ 3-2-2/ 2-0-0/ 2-1-1/ 2-3-3/ 1-0-0/ 1-2-2/ 1-3-3/
Roger
Jim, there is no problem with your song link for Bill and Dondra sitting where it is for all eternity. ![]()
Great song by the way.
Roger
Bill and Dondra, here is an angel to watch over you both. I hope she makes things better for both of you.
Roger
It is played exactly the same Jim, but you have double strings. The e and B are tuned the same but the G, D, A and E have the second string an octave higher. This tends to give it a fuller sound than a normal 6 string guitar.
This picture I found on the Internet shows it:
Next time you are in a guitar store, pick one up and try it.
Roger
I like to leave my mark wherever I go.
Katie is a very special little girl and has a knack of picking up on the little you say and do. ![]()

I do not think I posted a picture of this Vintage 12er that I bought in May when I was last in the UK. I happened to accidentally walk into a music shop when I was with my daughter in Leyland Lancs and found this used baby, with a hard case, for £149:00... How could I refuse it??
Since then my brother has taken it to his local luthier, who has set her up for me and made a fantastic job of it. The action is incredibly low and it is so easy to play. I am dead chuffed!!

Those are great photos Amy and I will gladly take the blame for you taking them.
xx
Roger
A multi stringed instrument with buttons to press to play chords, They have a rather unique sound:

Roger
I love the sound of an autoharp. I did own one until I had burglars who cleaned me out, hopefully I will get one again.
Welcome Heidi, nice to meet you too.
Roger
Well that has certainly put a smile on your face. Nice looking guitar, have fun!!!
Roger
I LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE Mountain Dew!!!

Can't get it here though perhaps I should move in permanently with Amy and Jim.... ![]()
