We always stay home. Too many crazy people out on the road. I hate crowds anyway. We usually make it to 12:05 then it's light out for us.

Happy New Year to all and please be safe!!!!!

It would be awesome to be able to play like that but I just don't care for the sound. For me it's right under Mariachi music, I just can't take it.

Look at all the experience you've gained by handling so many diff guitars. I know nothing about diff brands, woods, etc.... So next year remember what you did this year and don't do it again. And you had fun so that's all that matters.

Favorite to least favorite.

1. Bare Aluminum
2. Painted like the first pic with some of the Alum not painted.
3. All black.

Don't know why I thought about this today.

A while back my wife was watching one of her reality shows, she loves them. It was about rockstars and their wives. I don't know what it was called. I watched part of an episode because I like one of the stars in it, Steve Stevens. He is the guitar player for Billy Idol. Anyway, turns out that in his down time he is in a Flamenco band. It struck me kinda funny at first but then made sense. He's been playing rock for so long that maybe he needed a change and a new challenge.

No real point to my story, just popped in my head today and thought I'd share.

So i decided on Picasa web. So far it seems fine. I have to split some vids bcuz there is a size limit but these are few and far between.

Welcome Sonny!!!! This is what I tell my students: You must be able to chord and strum without thinking about it. You can't do 3 things at once. So two of those things have to be automatic so you can focus on the third. Once you have the playing down then you can add the singing.

Good luck

$999 is medium priced? I guess it depends on who's budget your dealing with but for me that's expensive.

So it's not just the B chord for you Zurf? It's all A-shaped barres? You know, with your faith you should know that evil will be overcome. So at some point in the future I expect you to be playing that B chord.

I want a dog as cool as that!!!!!

Depending on what you're playing, it is good to keep time. When playing alone a song might sound funny if played slow then fast and vice versa.

I guess I left out the FREE part. Free online video storage.

I'm looking into Skydrive and Photobucket.

But for now the search continues..................

Congrats Alli. Nothing like a new axe to keep you motivated. There are a few factors that could be causing string issues. The strings could be old. Maybe they are a diff gauge and type than you're used to. A set up may be in order. Changing the strings is easy so maybe start with that.

Awesome Butch. So you'll learn to play lefty, then if your fingers get back to normal you can switch hit. That would be a neat trick!!!

Anyone use online storage for pics and vids? I'm wanting to do this for family videos. I've backed them up on DVD but I would like another option also. I'm not really looking for sharing and all that, just storage.

Thanks gang!!!!

But Jerry, would any guitar player knowingly sign up to fight GAS? I don't think so. If you analyze it, having Gas really hurts no one.

Who doesn't need a new guitar?
Money spent on said new guitar puts money into the economy.
Therefore, more strings, picks, stands, etc. will be bought. More money into the economy.
Envy by others that leads to more GAS purchases.
Guitars are great conversation pieces, so you get to know people on a much deeper level.
The Arts, music and art itself, have been losing ground for years. Gas aids to it's resurgence.
The future of music without GAS would be bleak. Start the kids off early and we should be fine.
Some use guitars as art. Gas brings joy to people that don't play.
Without GAS how many countless jobs would be gone. Wood, tuners, strings, stains, bindings, someone has to make all these things that go into a guitar.
Gas brings joy to millions of drunkards who attend concerts.
So the beer industry would also suffer without GAS.
Peace and joy are brought to the guitar player and others that are blessed enough to get to enjoy the music from a poor slob, who unknowingly to others, suffers from a serious disease.

Don't be ashamed if you have GAS. Others feel your pain.

Merry Christmas to all and let's keep the strumming going strong in 2012.

Wow such a heartbreaking story. My heart is racing just from reading it.  What an unlucky shot. Idiot comes to mind. But I agree with Old Doll. You did what you could. Earlier this year I was there when a tragic accident happened. I wasn't as involved as you, but I was right there. It is hard to get passed something like that. I pray for peace for everyone involved.

Honestly I have no idea. I haven't played many guitars so I don't know what my dream one is. I'm happy with what I have. I tend to lean away from hype so Gibson and Martin are very low on my list. I'm sure they are great guitars but eh.....

Yes that's right, this ignorant lowlife deviant listed a rare 1 of 300 limited edition guitar in the same town he stole it from!
No one ever said thieves were smart, but wow! How stupid can you be????? ...and to steal from a church nonetheless.

Items still not recovered;
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier - This amp was listed on e-bay on 11/27/11 however the listing was pulled later in the week before the amp sold.
Boss ME-70 Multi Effects processor pedal.
Vox Wah with black and chrome pedal

Carvin DSM series PA power amp w/flight case

Great, that's all we need is another Zurf (or relation there of)!!!!! Whatever you do don't give her the Picks around the world box. Just kidding Zurfwalker.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't you say recently that you've taken a liking to the B chord? Or found one that you could play or something like that?
