I got some info from the importer the other day backing  up what Doug posted this model sold in 1971 for about 30 pounds so it was comparable with models like the Eko Ranger it continued to 1980 and retailed at 85 pounds.more than double its original price  so taking into acount todays rate of inflation that would maybe equate to about 400  in todays market for a similar quality product. To answer Amys question it has a distinct resonance I'm playing with different  strings to  find what works best.As it has had a headstock repair at some time I'm being cautious asto how much tension I apply  but it sounds pretty good with a slide ,,the actions a little high compared to my Lag and Eko ,the tone is some where between the two ie brighter than the Eko  but not as bright as the Lag.I'll post a vid when I can

Any one  have any experience of Yasuma guitars from Japan,I know they  did a copy of a Martin d 25 in the 70s but its difficult to find any other info .I aquired one designated BMJumbo 155  some years ago with a broken head stock which I repaired ,said guitar was just used to decorate a wall in my music room ,however since getting it back to the UK I'm wondering if it has any value.I've contacted the importers BM music but no reply yet.

great  party  guys

Depends on the airline ,some allow it in a soft case as cabin luggage or you can buy a sear for it,Agean do this.I brought  my ovation as hold luggage in a semi hard case no problem ,but as I say it depends on the airline best bet is phone customer service for your airline.

Well next Tuesday my equipment returns to the UK all exept my pa system which I sold to my good freinds in the Greek heavy metal band Everdie,so at least ill get to use it again in the future. However I'm wondering where to put everything when it arives as we only have a small cottage in the uk.5 electric ,6 acoustic ,2 resonators ,1 bouzuki,2 mandolins,1banjo,1,cigar box guitar 2 key boards,1 ukelele ,4 amps plus god knows how many pedals cables and mics.
Good job were looking for a bigger house.

Just  to  add my  view .I  prefer  the  old  view  but  I  understand  the need  for  change .Like  many of  my  generation   I don't  like  change  ,but  change  is  inevitable  so we adapt .

I play a bit of mandolin ,just a few simple chords ,I would suggest you get it set up as low as possible with extra light strings makes a big difference to your fingers.the chords are different to guitar but not bad to master the simple ones
