I enjoyed this one, it put a smile on my face. I personally cant stand the stuff but my husband loves a good drop of whiskey and has a few in his collection that he likes to sip from time to time Well written once again.

Hi everyone, here we are into another month already.
For the MONTH of AUGUST, looking for any SONG with the following words in the lyrics. These 4 different words are: TOMORROW… FLOWERS …WITHOUT… WHISKEY.
You can perform any song you like, so long as it has at least one of those words somewhere in it.
Some suggestions that have been made by members are:

Grah1 suggested: Tomorrow never comes – by Grah1 and the chords can be found in the Suggestions for August Topic.
Zurf suggested: Trampled by Turtles - Ain't No Use in Trying
Zurf suggested: The Wild Rover
Zurf suggested: Whiskey in the Jar - Dubliners first, but Beamer knows Metallica's version.
Zurf suggested Walkin' Cane - by Robert Earl Keen.
Zurf suggested: Whiskey River – Willie Nelson
Zurf also suggested that someone should write a song about "Tomorrow I'll buy flowers and go without whiskey" or vice versa, as the case may be.
Once again, you can perform any of the above suggestions for this month or you can do a song you have found that may not have been suggested. As long as it has one or more of those words in the lyrics and you can perform as many songs as you like.
It can be a COVER, ORIGINAL and or INSTRUMENTAL, you decide. Looking forward to what you all come up with.

Thanks Neophytte for the comments on my songs. Yes the first one was one I played a few years ago now, I was showing re-showing it as it was one Zurf had done too. The 2nd song agree with your comments.
Neo I enjoyed your 2 songs, particularly the one with your son who played along side of you on piano, it sounded great having him accompany you. Nicely done and performed well.

Peatle, thoroughly enjoyed that, you nailed it. The video footage you showed exactly how its been here. The rain has been unbelievable this year! Non stop and as I am writing the rain has started yet again. I have had it enough of it but like you said in the your song depicting the weather down under, I do enjoy being snug as a bug in my house with warm heaters and a nice cosy feel about the place. Makes me thankful that I am cosy and comfortable. Peatle its wonderful to see you back participating on here

Zurf I remember hearing and seeing photo`s and video`s from mekidsmom and Topdown`s get togethers for chordie people but I didn't know you or Uncle Joe had hosted them, so that's great that a few of you held get togethers. Would have been lots of fun.

Yes I agree jets, the a lot of the old familiar names that used to be here I haven't seen on here in ages. Miss the good conversations, the laughs and of course the music they presented. I haven't been on here as long as some of you but long enough to remember how it was.

Here is one attempt at a song with the word CHILD in it. I did mess up at the end but didn't change it as still getting over a cold/flu bug, so coughing
and my voice was getting a bit scratchy. I hope I get to do another song this month, but will see how I go with this throat.

Phill, thanks for the tip for sore throats, I have made a note of it. Thankfully I haven't had a sore throat, just an annoying cough but on the mend. Yes its always interesting when you come across old songs, poems, writings that you have forgotten about, brings back memories.
