Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum. I would take both guitars in so that the luthier can see, and feel, the difference to know what you are looking for.

Please keep us posted on progress.

My goodness you have had a very rough few days but looks like you have turned the corner. Wishing you a speedy recovery (but do not try and do too much too fast).

Daddycool is in your locality, he has not been around so much lately so I will P.M. him to see if he is interested.

Welcome to Chordie,

Roger.

All new participants are 'Junior Members' until they reach 25 posts and then become a 'Member'. Dino has listed the other changes.

After his remark I wrote to him as that was his 24th post. After 25 he loses the 'Junior' bit and becomes a 'Member', so maybe he will feel freer to speak out then, but I think he was just being polite really.

Everyone in encouraged to participate be they a 'newbie' or an 'old hand' around a fretboard smile.

All the best Nela, wishing you a swift recovery. I hope you get help with that corn, sounds like you do not have a garden but a small farm instead. smile

Pretty much the same here Pete. I took the motor bike out this morning but even in just shorts and 'T' shirt it was uncomfortably hot. I will take the car this afternoon with the aircon going full blast. smile

Thank you Liz,

You are not active here on Chordie very often, but when you do appear it is usually with a little gem. smile

Definitely.

That is a far better excuse than the last one I used for getting a new guitar, it even makes sense. lol

Apart from the storm it looks, and sounds, as though you had a great time. It is really great meeting people face to face that you have known only through cyberspace, as I found out in March.

Thanks Amy. Got a message from my daughter that she was late posting her card to me (takes after her dad lol) but got a super card from granddaughter Emma. (It is granddad's day too).

Well Richard's new baby has arrived and as you can see I have had my grubby mitts around her, number 12 of 50.

She does play and sound well but very much out of my price range.

A while ago I was in discussion with Russ about video recording as I was impressed with his 'video within video' that I as not able to do and Trakax was what was recommended. I had problems getting the free trial to work but, as it is not a very expensive piece of software, I took the plunge last week and bought it.

I have been working on a video and I had a problem, as I had received an e-mail from Cormac Barry at the company asking me to write if I needed any help, I decided to do just that. The company is based in Ireland and so their time is the same as mine and at 21:44 I wrote, explaining my problem and hoping to get a reply sometime tomorrow.

Imagine my surprise when just 17 minutes later not only do I get a reply but I get a personalised video showing me exactly what to do to resolve my issues.

Now that is Service with a capital 'S'.

Wishing you well and a speedy recovery.

We cannot do with having one of the Moderating team unwell so extra pickles will be sent to get you on your feet again quickly. lol

There is a 100 song limit for a songbook and many artistes ( especially with the duplications of their songs) have many more than this so I do not think it would work.
