Maybe its to keep the acoustic sound of the drums bleeding into the audio mics ,so only the miced sound of the drums comes through the PA and monitors alowing the band to play at lower stage volumes while the drummer still knocks 7 bells out of his kit.

Know the problem Joey, I still have 14 guitars,4 amps, 3 PA systems  and numerous accessories in my Greek house to bring back when the sale goes through. There is no way that  all my gear and instruments are gonna fit in our UK cottage ,I have 9 here and 3 amps .a selection of pedals mics  cables etc already   and only an 8x4 spare room to keep it all in.

My  band  mate  brought  me a Rickenbacker 620 to  try  the  other  day ,Ive   never  tried  one  before and  I  must  say  in some  respects  I  was  very impressed .It  had  the  lowest  action of any   guitar I  have  ever  played   ,but  the way  its  wired  up  was  very  confusing it  has  2  outputs one  mono and  one  stereo , so  as we didnt  have  a  stereo   cable  I couldnt  test  it  in that  mode   however   in mono  through a custom amp  on the  clean channel it  sounded  great ,so  easy  on the  fingers  great  for  bar  chords .All  in all  a very  nice  instrument

Thanks  for  the  comments  on YouTube Bill ,made  me smile.
Re  the  weight  of resonators  ,the  one in the  vids  has  a  wooden body  and  is  pretty  light but  I  have  a  gold  plated  Steel bodied  one  which   weighs   very  heavy  but  sounds  and  looks  amazing .I  also have  a  resonator  bouzouki   which  is  nickel  plated both  came  from Ozark  guitars  in the  UK  and  I  believe  were  made  originally as display models ,although  a  few  weeks  ago  I  came  across  a  very similar  guitar  in York which  was  gold  plated  but  it  had  no  pickup  or  the  ornate  mother  of  pearl inlays  which mine  has

Cant  wait  to  hear   it  Bill  I'd give  it  a  shot at  putting a  tune  to it  but  Ive  got   the  Pickering  Beer  festival  to  play  at  and  two  gigs   for  the  we shall overcome  events  and  then I  think  were   back  to  Greece  for  a  few  weeks to tie  up  the  loose  ends  there .So  realistically it  will  be  mid November  before  I  have  any  spare  time.

Cant  wait  for  Saturdays  gig  at  the  Pickering Beer  festival   when I  will be  reunited  with  two of  my  favourite  guitars  from my  collection in Crete. Thanks to  Kev Jones shipping  them back  for me .My  old  Eko ranger 6  which  I've  had  for  46 years  and  my Governor resonator  which has  been my  go to resonator  for  about  15yrs ,Time  to  play  the  blues .

Me and  Bobby  Magee  when I  used  to  play  with  Cindy Scholl  in Greece

I  think  being compared  to  a  successful artist  is  a  great  compliment  in most  cases and  it  often  shows  where   your  influences  have  come  from and   despite  what  some  might  say  we  all  have  influences   ,sometimes  these  are  submerged  either  on purpose  or  un intentionally  but  they  are there all  the  same ,I  would  say  my  influences  come  from a lot  of  the  60s uk  blues bands  ,Lou Reed , Pink Floyd  and  Jimmy   Hendrix , but  as  I  have  a  strong  back ground  in uk  folk  music  then sometimes influences  from  artists  like  Steel eye  span  ,Fairport convention and  Mike  Harding  often show  up in my acoustic   stuff.

my  wife  pam   had  hers  done  last  month  no  problem .

Got to agree with Bill re the chorus and bridge as part of the structure of the song it helps to engage the listener  especialy in a long song I'd like to hear a guitar version  mainly because I'm not a great fan of the uke for a serious ballad like this one, having said all this I do like the content and your delivery ,your voice is good and has a distinctive tone .Very well done
