Thanks for the encouragement Phill. Shoot me an Email as I have a bugaboo in my system and my mic for Gmail is out. If I can get it fixed I'll try and play a sample over the mic. Mean while I,ll have to practice it big time. smile
PS As a moderator can you change the title from "Let me Believe"  to "Believe"
Thanks Mate

Thanks Ken
Too many hearts out there that are too scared (me included) to jump in.I should take my own advise sometimes lol

Hey 06sc500
That happens to me daily and it can really mess up my real job. It's hard to concentrate when I have a tune in my head(not good for sales lol)
On that note I have made my final edit to the song and it is complete. Now I just have to get it out of my head at work!!!

Thanks Again

In a world that seems and feels like it's getting crazier everyday I find it very comforting that not all are filled with hatred, but compassion and understanding.

It would be a better place if the world had your out look on life. smile

Thanks for this

Howdy All smile

I recently posted a song up in the songwriting section and I would like to record it but I am not a good piano/keyboard player. I am also looking for a female and male singer as it is a duet.
It is called "Believe" and if you are interested in working with me long distance on this than please have a read and give me an Email with your thoughts.

Thanks Again

Thanks Phill, I'd love to be able to record this piece but I really don't have the piano talent to do it right. sad The piano is key in the song as it sets the mood for the vocals so if you know anyone interested that would work with a green guy lol have them send me an Email. smile

Thanks my friend

Hi Doc,

I bought the PX5D on your advise and couldn't be happier with it. For such a small unit it sure packs a punch. It makes my low end Cort sound like a real guitar.I've had it out a few times for friendly jams(I stay in the back ground) and everyone is real impressed with what it can do, how simple it is and the Zero Hassle setup.
It's so cool, put it in my top pocket, grab my axe, my baby amp and I'm out the door. smile

Thanks for your help on this one I owe you a beer. smile

Hey Toney, Just wondering if you get any of the March Break crowd down in your end of Florida?
Any one got any good stories to share from March Madness, I'm guessing there's a few. I've been to Florida once and that was thirty years ago and can't remember much(I wonder why lol) All I remember is a 3 floor bar in Daytona Beach called Big Daddys and it rocked. I wonder if it's still there.

Thank You Lena smile
This song has been in me wee little brain for a couple of years now and keeps popping back up.
I have recently been feeling gooder about my writing abilities, thanks to all the kind comments from my friends at Chordie so I had to sit down and finish it. I have re-written a few of the lines today and I'm sure I'll do a bit more lol before I'm done.

Thank You Again Lena for your heart felt encouragement along the way. smile
Kenny

Hi Daddy, I'm glad you liked it. I don't know if it could be a hit or not but with the talent on this board I think it can be recorded properly. Who knows from there, cause you never know until you try. smile

Thanks Again
Kenny

Hey Selso,How's it going. smile
I'm real happy to hear you enjoyed the read. I got as big soft spot in me for sentimental songs. I just wish I could come up with more of them.
As for vocals in the song it is up to who ever wants to try(male or female) I have how it sounds in my head and who ever can come close can do it. Just Email me anything with a vocal track so I can hear  the voice.
Most importantly I need a piano/keyboard player cause I can't play it smooth like it sounds(maybe in 25 years lol).
Here's the link to Home County Time, I'm glad you liked it.

Hi Alan, smile

I'm glad you liked the lyrics and the way it formatted. Chopro isn't perfect but it gets the job done nicely. Hopefully I'll get some responses and it'll get recorded.

Thanks Again smile

Thanks 06sc500

I can hear it but I haven't got the talent to play it properly. I think I will approach the multi-talented board for help on this one.
Any piano players, female vocalists, male vocalists or lead guitar players out there that are looking for a project then by all means take a few minutes and Email (At the left) me so we can do some long distance recording.

Thanks Again 06sc500 smile

This song is a jump from my normal writing. In the same style as "You don't bring me flowers" by Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand. It is a romantic piano piece played very softly. The male voice is done in big letters above the female voice, the female is in small letters.
About a woman that is scared about falling in love, and being being hurt, and the male counterpart is telling her he is there for her to help her believe in love. It might look a little goofy the way I've done. It's the only way me thinks!!!
Chopro won't allow me to put where background singing should be and there are question marks for chords I don't know how to transpose from the piano.

Enjoy

Watching movies as a young child with the heroes not going home has always put a big lump in my throat. As an adult, seeing and hearing the realities of war and the pride I feel for those who have fought and are fighting for what is right is an emotion that comes from the heart.

Hi Alan,

I have just read about what had happened in Antrim and am shocked by this. The article says that the gunmen walked up to the soldiers after the initial shots and fired more point blank shots.
I pray that this act of cowardice does not start more violence. It was good to hear that the old IRA was against this. My heart goes out to the families.

Hi Ark,
Soldiers fighting and dying for what is right in this world is very sad but I also feel pride and honor for them when I hear of their sacrifices. Heroes for sure. I also hope it is worth it.
Thanks
Kenny

Thanks Daddy,
Imagine what the world would be like if no one would stand up and fight for what is right. It would be a much different world I'm afraid.
Thanks
Kenny

Hi Alan,
It would be sweet indeed if our/your/all, military could come home. We have to start somewhere. Hopefully the powers that be are on the right track.
Thanks
Kenny

Hi Jeff,
I hope and pray the same but I don't know if it will ever happen. I fear that we will have fallen heroes amongst us for a long time coming. The BR600 still has got the better of me so maybe I will go the Audacity route and post it at Myspace. Maybe that will be the kick I need to get at'er.
Thanks Again
Kenny

PS The movie "Taking Chance" is about Kevin Bacons character bringing the body home and the characters he meets along the way,his emotional outlook and of those around him.
Good movie if you like tear jerkers.

I wrote this today after hearing earlier that 3 more Canadians died in Afghanistan. On the weekend I watched a film called "Taking Chance" a true story about a soldier being brought home to be buried. An emotional story that I would suggest all see if they can. Also in the US they are trying to pass a law to show the dignity to fallen soldiers and there family(if they wish) on their final return home (Kudos). In Canada we have a 170 kilometer stretch of the 401 called the Highway of Heroes. It is not uncommon to see the vehicles stopped on overpasses and along the road to show their respect as the soldier is returned home. A few years back in my home town of London a soldier was returned to be buried. He lived in my end of town.As a show of respect to the soldier and family, yellow ribbons were tied to just about every tree along the roads, for an area of about 1 square mile. We are known as the Forest City and I was very proud driving through all the neighborhoods seeing the thousands of ribbons.
This is not a protest song but a song reminding me to not take for granted the freedoms I enjoy and at what cost I (we) have achieved them.
If you are anti-war please don't respond to this with anti-war remarks. That's not what the song is about.

Done in a Dylan style with lots of harp in the breaks

Thanks
Enjoy and ponder the true message.
