Suggested chordie name for your sister: Zibling

I liked it as well, but it's tough to compete vocally with the likes of Annie Lennox.

Email on the way! Hang on to it as long as you like...but I have some stuff I want to add.

This is just a song about how it seems that those with fewer material things in actuality have more than those who are financially better off, but can never seem to find happiness.

[C]Why must it be

That the [Bb]haves set destiny

And the [F]nots are pulled along in the [C]wake

[A]Answers for the taking are ig[Dm]nored

[Bb] [F] [C]

Verse 3

It’s [C]easy to over think

It’s as [Bb]plain as the kitchen sink

[F]Something’s missing from the reci[C]pe

[ ]Find a way to link

[Bb]What can be gone in a wink

Or be [A]cursed in successful mise[Dm]ry

[Bb] [F] [C]

Verse 4

It’s [C]really no surprise

It’s [Bb]just our daily lives

[F]Secrets are out there to read for [C]all

If the [ ]haves open their eyes

And the [Bb]nots realize

[A]See that their forests are not so [Dm]tall

[Bb] [F] [C] [Bb] [F]

Yep - go to the song you want and you will see the instrument choices in the right menu. It defaults to guitar when you bring it up, but you can change it to ukelele as well as other instruments. Welcome to chordie and enjoy. I'm sure you'll find a ton of songs you know here.

Could not fine it but it is in E (E-B-A...) I bet you could figure out the rest from this. Sounds like you already have the lyrics link. Good luck.

Hey Joey - I had to think back but I remember Stoney Curtis, and Ann Margrock...that's about it though.

Thanks Robert - I'm lucky I picked some one who fits me well. She says she did the picking but I think it was a mutual decision.

Thanks Robert - Yep, I kind of just enjoy the writing side of it now. Nice to share with friends or just play for me too.

Some of the more rural service stations don't take credit - cash only - pay before pumping

Okay...off the top of my head:  Freudian Slips; Yankee Go Home, The Bilabial Fricatives,  The Foreign Caterers, the Slow Pluckers, the Otter Tunas...

Here's another good one. Just simple good music. Did I mention that he makes all the instruments he uses?

I was just trying to think what makes my wife a good fit for me, and it kind of became this song. Hope you like it.

The name came from Tandm3 and Geoguitar said it would be a great band name.

I agree...wasn't there someone on another forum looking for a band name?

I kind of stumbled across Dan's music by accident. I heard his song Cowboy Song and didn't listen too close and enjoyed the music. The words are a little parental advisory but not for all his music. One song of his that is good for all audiences is the I Drink Beer song and here is a link to the YouTube video of it. Dan is, not surprisingly, on John Prine's Label so about as Americana as you can get. Have a listen and some of you will like him while others might not care for all his lyrics. I really enjoy his style but I wish he had more songs that I could play in front of other people.  Anyway here is the YouTube link for Dan's song - I Drink Beer. I enjoy the mix of old videos and the song all of which remind me of simpler times.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBaSTozYLdI

I figured out the chords for I Drink Beer as well so if anyone wants them email me.

Yep - I agree, we must do this again....I would recommend regional jams for the folks who can't make it quite as far as the shenandoah. We have chordie folk all over the world and I am sure there will be much fun to be had in other places as well.
